If I wash my car, or it rains, I can pretty much guarantee it will do it whenever I start to back out of the garage if the car is still damp. Sometimes it doesn’t even need to be wet, it just decides it’s going to do it that day. And sometimes it doesn’t do it for a couple of weeks.
But I feel...
I watched the video today, thank you very much! Most things as we expected.
One thing I did not expect was for the torque difference to be as pronounced as it is!
A couple of questions:
1) Why does the ITS no longer pull on the CTR above 95 mph? Torque advantage taken away because where the...
My FL5 does this. My FK8 did not.
It only occurs if I’m WOT and upshift early. It doesn’t exhibit this behavior at high RPM. I’ve learned to drive around it, because it is dang annoying.
Tickle, thanks for the link.
Hats off to System Motorsports for resolving this.
At the end of the day, this was a communication issue, and I really need to take ownership on the fact that I could have communicated more clearly and am the one at the most fault here.
The resolution is that I...
I am racking up miles on this a little faster than I did on the Golf R, haha!
I guess there is no better sign that you enjoy a car than the fact you want to spend extra time driving it.
TE37SL Formula Silver 18x9.5 +45. 5x120. Civic Type R fitment.
Purchased a week ago through System Motorsports.
Selling them at over a 10% loss, they are brand new, perfect, and never been installed. These are no longer for sale, have been returned to System Motorsports for an exchange.
I was...
Car is doing great! Currently up to 1325 miles.
There are still some small occurrences of errors for road departure and collision braking mitigation systems about weekly.
Are you lowering or leaving stock height? I definitely am going for a more aggressive tire than stock on whatever aftermarket wheels I end up with.
I’m not too keen on lowering, because my driveway is at a sharp angle, and I don’t want it to rub.
I’m also concerned 18s might not be ideal at...
These came in today.
18x9.5 +45 TE37SL concave face in Formula Silver. The quality of the finish is very high, but man they’re a lot darker than I expected them to be.
An exchange through System Motorsports is currently in progress. They went above and beyond to help me get the set I wanted.
Dash rattle fix part 2:
Still had a little bit of rattling when driving. It was definitely the bottom of the screen. I think it’s knocked out solidly now.
I’ve had this car a month and had the dash apart more than some cars I had for years and did major audio upgrades, haha. Hopefully it’s done...
I’m a realtor. I had a killer year last year, but I’m getting dragged this year because of these super high interest rates.
All that to say, I might just put the wheels in my bedroom closet for a bit, hahaha!
But to answer your question, I think I can get -2 degrees of camber up front with...
Formula Silver TE37SL en route 18x9.5 +45.
Staying stock suspension for now, probably going to run V730s at 275/35.
If the stock suspension bounce in high speed corners is too much of an issue longterm, I’ll probably move to Ohlins R&T and cancellers. I’ve had great luck with that suspension on...
