  1. Suspension Setting

Road situational. Enter a high speed corner at 90mph without perfect pavement, and it will bounce you out of the seat. That’s why we thankfully have multiple settings.
  2. Driver Side Seat Rail not Aligned

Mine can do this if I don’t really commit to pulling the lever. Pull the lever well and slide the seat all the way forward or back. That should align the sides. Now, make sure whenever you adjust it, that you have firm hold on the lever. It should stay in alignment.
  3. Active Dampers too stiff on FL5. Disabled with Damping Cancellation Kit

I didn’t. I’m trying very hard not to spend any more money. And you’re not helping with posts like this! You already made me buy a frickin’ Hondata ????
  4. Just Picked Up - Quick Impressions

Given the OP's screen name, I suspect fake troll that just wants to watch people argue on the forum. Many people are having to pay ADM to get an FL5, and not having traded that EN for it, the tax amount (without a huge trade savings) would have been annoying. But more than that, if you decided...
  5. Negative attention

Had my FL5 since April. Zero negative attention or bad interactions on the street. Mostly compliments and nice people interested in talking about it.
  6. Rchive- An FL5 ownership journal

It definitely does. Exact same suspension components. Same wheel and tire width. Other than more low end torque, the cars are nearly identical.
  7. Rchive- An FL5 ownership journal

Uploaded the map from @Two Step Performance, and it has been great. It has slightly more midrange than the Hondata basemap, but the top end is a whole different animal. The highest praise I can bestow on this tune is that it feels very seamless like a factory map should. Coming from VWs, I am...
  8. Rchive- An FL5 ownership journal

Hondata tuned. The base map is great. It has really nice midrange and a much more exciting powerband. I ordered the Two Step tune, hope to have it within the next couple of days, and will report back.
  9. What did you do to your FL5 today?

    Hondata jailbreak tour and Flashpro!
  10. Engine Noise at ~1500rpm

I don’t like it, but it’s normal. I didn’t hear it in my FK8, but definitely do in the FL5.
  11. Hondata FL5 FlashPro released

Jailbroken, Flashpro purchased, and tuned at Import Alliance earlier tonight. Base 93 tune has great midrange punch and pulls super clean throughout. But the real story there is the guy that does the jailbreak tour, Javier. He’s patient, knowledgeable, personable, and super kind! @Hondata is...
  12. Direct comparison: Civic Type R vs. Integra Type S (Throttle House review)

You won’t get an argument from me that DSMā€˜s were junk. The SR20 was just moreso, and can’t make nearly as much reliable power with stock internals. The 4G63 did not get good until 1998. Once they worked out the bugs of their first pull type clutch in 1997 Evo IV, crankwalk was a thing if the...
  13. Direct comparison: Civic Type R vs. Integra Type S (Throttle House review)

16G was stock in the Evo. The early 00s were without question much better than the 90s. DSMs took a ton of work comparatively to an Evo. The Evo had power, handling, and braking on another planet compared to a DSM. On track especially. Back to drag racing, high 11s with a full exhaust and tune...
  14. Direct comparison: Civic Type R vs. Integra Type S (Throttle House review)

I think his issue was with this: In the late ā€˜90s-early ā€˜00s, there were substantially more options. -Evos/DSMs -STI/WRX -All motor and aftermarket boosted Honda Civics, RSX Type S, and Integras GSR and Type R -Nissan 240/300/350 -Toyota MR2 -MkIV Supra -FD RX7 -S2000 … I’m not even including...
  15. No Parking Sensors in USDM Type Rs - why?

Two huge things I don't miss from my Golf R are the parking sensors screaming every time I pull in and out of the garage and forgetting to disable the asinine start/stop feature after each start up. Sayonara unneeded stuff.
  16. Rchive- An FL5 ownership journal

Also, after three months of ownership, I wanted to further compare it to the FK8. Here's where I think each car has advantages. FL5 advantages: -Faster and superior infotainment system, modern and nice gauges, much better audio system, and easy access HVAC controls that aren't buried in a dumb...
  17. Rchive- An FL5 ownership journal

I tried the ITS ADS module for a couple weeks. Its a little softer and less jarring for sure; it feels about one level down from the stock unit. It's definitely much better in +R. The car was still is bouncy in very hard, fast corners, so I reverted to the stock unit. The key for me to go...
  18. Butter Wet Wax

Looks great, lasts only a few weeks. I used to use it, now I ceramic coat everything for infinitely better protection and minimized rubbing aka installing scratches on my paint.
  19. Need info re Turbo

Turbo is in the front and going to emanate loads of heat. Summertime. Operating as intended. On the dyno without a lot of air movement, the hotside of many turbos will heat enough to glow brightly during a pull. I wouldn’t think twice about it.
  20. 2023 Civic Type R vs. 2001 Integra Type R -- 26 Years Later, The Civic Type R Has Finally Learned All The Integra Type R’s Tricks

Fuel economy with less rev capacity, direct injection, and forced induction is on point! Yay technological advancements.
