I’m laughing, because I sent Corey a FB messenger message on this and intake cam timing was my initial speculation based on tuning old Evos back in the day. I think it’s freaking awesome that it turned out to be right. ?
Thank you so much for responding and proving to me that I’m not crazy.
I want to start this off by saying that I love Hondata. They are a great company with a fantastic product. And I the feel the same about same about Two Step Performance. The tuner for the Two Step base map is renown for fantastic work across many platforms. The car is very quick on this map...
Been several weeks since I updated.
I received the new Diamond Silver TE37SL a bit back, but they’re still new in box. I’m going to resell them or try to trade for 19s.
The car itself is doing well. I’m about on target for 6000 miles a year with it. I’m nearly at 3000 miles after half a year...
I also vote that’s fuel starvation. Don’t mess around with that. Keep it topped off.
If it was overheating, you’d see an actual limp mode and continual loss of power. Was this something they happened in turns for a moment or two, or several seconds/until you pit?
I had a VN very briefly. It was alright. I think it looked nice and handled well. The three door was a bit weird. I think it looks much better than the EN.
For me: CTR>Golf R>GTI. I guess next would be the GR Corolla, followed by the underpowered Si. VN after that, and the current WRX is...
I’d happily take a little lag for that top end power. Even a base Carrera is touching high 11s, and drives like a dream.
The bit that stops me from getting a 911 over an FL5 is that over twice the price thing. ?
A Cayman is not practical enough. The Macan and Cayenne are of no interest to me.
Probably just crap from the road and dirt/dust settling on your bumper. Especially if it rained. The shape of a hatchback is notable for letting dirt collect back there.
Are your outer exhaust tips dirty, or do you have any mods? If so, soot on the rear bumper directly above the exhaust is a...
After being involved in this thread, I got a little bit curious and opened the valve. Definitely no difference with the way it runs, of course, but the sound difference is pretty much nonexistent. I guess I can tell if I blip the throttle in my garage, that’s about it.
My ricer side can’t help...
I have not touched the fuse and forced my valve open, but I also get this odd cold start behavior. I do have Hondata, and it does it on the basemap as well as the TSP stage one map. I have not bothered to flash the car back to stock to see if the behavior continues.
It is warm where I live, but...
I regret that I get bored quickly and swap cars too often. I don't have any loans on any cars, but there's definitely some bit of depreciation on some transactions.
But as far as this car goes, I definitely wish it wasn't FWD. It's a razor with handling, decently lightweight, offers solid...
I’ve had one car with folding mirrors and cannot fathom a practical use for it in the USA. I used it once and laughed at the absurdity.
Unless you have a gigantic SUV that will not fit width-wise in your garage without folding mirrors, they are most pointless thing ever to me.
