My detailer is awesome and already gave me big discounts since I'm a repeat customer.
Since I'm not at fault and the other driver's insurance company is covering all repair costs, I told my detailer to invoice them the standard (undiscounted) amount for the new PPF ?
Agree with others to just wash as normal. The best part of ceramic coating, though, is that you can use an air cannon to dry and it will just blow all the water off without needing any towels at all!
I do wipe it down with the refresh spray after each wash just to extend the life of the coating...
Drawing inspiration from @Tuxedo Mask and his unfortunate incident here...something very similar happened to me last night.
While he lasted 3,500 miles, I only lasted a whopping 179...???
Just like in his case, a driver ran a red light and hit me. Fortunately, nobody was hurt, and the other...
Is that part actually covered by PPF? It would be very difficult for a tiny rock to puncture through PPF, and if it did happen, you would see a hole in the film.
Yeah agreed on the badge/status symbol thing - definitely a top priority for many people.
I've barely driven my CTR so far (really only drove it to the PPF shop, where it's still sitting right now), so I can't comment on the ride for awhile. But I did own an S2000 for almost 10 years and that...
I gotta disagree with this. Just because it's considered "next class up", doesn't necessarily make it more appealing for everyone. I was cross shopping the CTR with several cars in the "next tier up" - like the RS3, CT5-V Blackwing, and M3. Yes, all of those cars are more luxurious and more...
For those calling dealers, please report the ADMs on the map here: https://www.motoringobsession.com/stock/civic-type-r
It will really help everyone else who is looking to buy :)
@AspecR I feel like an idiot for asking this, but that column 3rd from the right is the color, right? And is this correct?
BK = Black
BL = Blue
WH = White
GA = Gray
?? = Red who knows, they don't seem to make these ?
Have you seen one in person? It looks great in person, much better than pictures in my opinion (although this is just true about the FL5 in general). I thought it might look like "primer grey" (which I hate), but was pleasantly surprised by how great it looked when I first saw one in person.
