Replaced the rear strut bar bolts with these quick release pins. I got the 55mm long pins, but the 50mm pins would also fit. I wanted a little slack just in case it wouldn't fit. I also tucked in the carpet flaps around the bar ends.
I installed a front PRL strut bar. I am a little concerned...
My preference is fat five spoke wheels. I would love a set of Work Meister S1 (3 piece) in 18x9 et35. These cars have much more aggressive fitments.
Ten years ago I had SSR Professor SP1 on my old Scion tC. Before the SSRs, I had Volk Racing LE28Ns. Back then I parked in a garage. Now I park...
I haven't driven it on the street since installing it yesterday afternoon. Forum member @Cueyo stated it made a bigger difference than the front PRL strut bar.
PRL rear strut bar installed. I found 2 install videos on YouTube, which removed the trunk interior. Instead I removed the rear seat airbags thanks to this YT short. I'll clean up the cut flaps from the interior another day. I didn't want to cut holes. The flaps will kinda close when I remove...
Stock FL5 Civic Type R rear motor mount with PowerFlex 70a inserts. This provides 2 setups for non-Type R owners:
Comfort: Remove the yellow inserts and use the mount in the stock Type R configuration. No vibrations. No engine rocking when shifting at cruising speeds. Wheel hop between shifts...
When I swapped out the stock clutch stopper pad with a magnet, I discovered the car won't start if the magnet was too thick to allow the clutch pedal sensor to make contact. Obviously getting on my hands and knees to swap the clutch stopper every time I park is not feasible. I'll do this when I...
Installed Powerflex yellow inserts into the OEM FL5 mount (stock FL5 insert removed). I prefer this combo over my previous setups. Very minimal vibrations at startup, reverse, accelerating below 1500 RPM, and idling with AC on. My priority is to improve shifting (eliminate engine rocking between...
The paint and rubber sealer at the front-right jack point (behind front passenger wheel) peeled off after approximately a dozen times jacking at that point. I always used rubber jack pads. Is that bare metal exposed or primer? Should I cover with touch up paint? I live in Southern California...
