  1. What did you do to your FL5 today?

Nearly stock baseline dyno on 93 octane. The only ā€œmodsā€ are an MXP exhaust with the stock downpipe and front pipe, plus the TSP coupler between the stock intake and inlet. Do either of those make a difference? Bare minimum, if anything. It was also a nice, cool 46°F day, so conditions were...
  2. Unity Performance Humza's FL5 Build Thread

The more I see the car with it, the more I like it! Still trying to figure out the Lip/Splitter situation to perfect the look. If I catch a part-out for an Exceed Lip, I may have to jump on it! Cusco Risers come with their own gasket for each riser. Friend of ours who came over to install it...
  3. Unity Performance Humza's FL5 Build Thread

The switch from the DWS06+ to the ECS02 is definitely noticeable. I took the car out last night for a quick drive to get a feel for the grip, steering response, and how the suspension is handling the move to 19s. Steering response feels a little sharper, which I’d assume is mostly due to going...
  4. What did you do to your FL5 today?

Finished off our time with the Hybrid Racing Exhaust, and it was a great setup! Overview and sound clips here We installed the MXP afterwards, and I've been living with it for about 3 weeks so far. We're changing up our format to shoot videos and post them at the end of each exhaust test so...
  5. Unity Performance Humza's FL5 Build Thread

That's definitely one of my favorite combos, but the price (even if there is some wiggle room for a shop) is daunting for a part that stick right up at the front of the car and sits very low. Believe me I've been on that product page many times šŸ˜…
  6. Unity Performance Humza's FL5 Build Thread

I settled on the tires and tire size for the 19x10 +40 ZE40! 265/35R19 Continental ECS 02 Thankfully no rub in any instance so far, and the ride quality hasn’t been impacted with the move to 19’s.
  7. Unity Performance Humza's FL5 Build Thread

Spring’s here, and the build season is moving fast. First up: the Cusco wing risers. I’ll be honest—they’re pricey for what they are. But the quality and finish are spot on, and the look makes it worth it. Plus, they hold value well, so if I decide to move on from them later, I should be able...
  8. What Next to Feel More Planted

We have a test car with all the Cusco Braces. It’s hard to quantify the change since it cars are pretty rigid as is, everyone will comment differently about what they feel when it filmed to chassis bracing parts.
  9. What did you do to your FL5 today?

That’s the general consensus. I think it’s a great RMM for the 1.5T, but for the 2.0T, Wunderladen Street or COBB is the way to go
  10. Exhaust advice: Catback to Catless?

With a catless downpipe, even valve closed will not be able to contain the cabin drone. It will be quite significant.
  11. 285–295 Tire Setup – Wheel Specs & Fitment?

285/35 on 18x10.5 +47. No mods, works well at stock or lowered heights
  12. FL5 Intercooler Reference Thread

I got a couple guys to chime in on the FL5/DE5 Facebook Group about the RV6 Intercooler, and their experience with it long-term. Who else has feedback?
  13. Remark vs Invidia R400 vs Other?

Thanks for sharing the links! It’ll come down to price and personal preference for both options, as they do sound similar. Remark quality is a little better, but the $600 gap is steep. The Remark is definitely the more unique offering of the two, you won’t find too many around. In terms of...
  14. Wünderland camber arms?

I've had both - RV6 on the FK8, and Wunderladen now on the FL5. I like how Wunderladen use a spacer, and a rubber washer to keep grime out of their spherical bushings. The Wunderladen arms have been noise-free. I had everything spherical from RV6 and Ohlins Coilovers with Sakebomb hats, it was...
  15. What did you do to your FL5 today?

March was a blur, being our busiest month of all time! April is shaping up to be just as hectic but I need to get the ball rolling on the car 😬 Settled on 265/35R19 for the 19x10 +40 ZE40. Ran a quick rest fit, backed it out, took some shots, and back in for now as I still want to ceramic coat...
  16. What did you do to your FL5 today?

Before and After with the SUMA Performance wide angle mirrors. I ran these on my FC1 SI, FK8, and even got a set for my wife’s 22 Corolla, so it feels more natural for me to have these installed versus regular glass.
  17. Cobb rear motor mount

We have a couple of customer reviews for it so far, and I’ll ask another FL5 friend and customer who hasn’t yet left a review to perhaps chime in on this thread. I have one waiting to go on my car after I do at least 600 miles on my Wunderladen Street RMM first.
  18. Canadian FL5/DE5 Build, Suggestions & Tips Thread

Appreciate the share :) V1 held up great for nearly a thousand miles, and V2 has been solid as well!
  19. What did you do to your FL5 today?

First day of decent weather here so it was time for a cruise; albeit a very foggy one as cold ground mixed with warm air. Was still quite wet out but with Conti DWS06+ I’m not too worried :) It was also my little human’s first time in the R, which as all dads can relate feels pretty special...
  20. Stolen 2025 Boost Blue Stolen

I don’t leave mine up to chance so I got IGLA anti-theft installed on my FK8, then transferred it over to the FL5. Also installed on my family hauler Lexus since that’s a targeted vehicle as well.
