Currently running Milltek's non resonated catback with a valve, but I'm looking at going catless. Does anyone have an experience doing something similar? I'm particularly worried about drone, WOT volume doesn't concern me. A buddy of mine completely got rid of the drone in his Focus ST by going catless but that's a completely different platform. Any wisdom greatly appreciated

Not running a cat is one of the worst things you can do for everyone around you on the street. The NO2 that your car would produce without one is a super toxic gas that leads to a whole host of health issues (especially for young kids), acid rain, ozone, and filters into food chains in the water.

Run a high flow cat. The 5hp you make isn't worth the damage you would do without one.

I run a a catless DP with a titanium twin tip Remark exhaust, hardly notice any drone on my daily commute. When you get on it it's a different story though.

It's obvious following cars and trucks without working cats due to exhaust oder. You might get cited in some places.
I have an old, pre-cat motorcycle and the smell is strong, despite 45 mpg.
