Just installed mine today, and my only hiccup was unplugging some of the connectors, the actual mechanical disconnecting/reconnecting of the cables was IMO easy. I took time to vacuum around the tunnel since I dont normally see that part of the carpet lol.
I set the throw to the shortest and...
Agreed. I had to get my bumper and grille replaced on my FK8 when someone backed into it with a tow hitch on. Didnt manage to damage anything else and that wasnt just a "bump".
Ah well then that makes sense now. I remember changing the trans oil on my EP3 and using the fill hole up top too.. Then on my Fiesta ST I filled it on the side/check hole. I didnt do my trans oil changes/flushes on my own when I had a FK8 but I want to on the FL5. I just have to figure out how...
So if you have something to pump or long enough of a hose to fill the transmission via the check hole - what is the harm in doing that? Every single car that I have owned long enough to change the transmission oil I have done this way. Since the extra oil is supposed to drain out of it anyways...
That is awesome - my only track experience so far has been with a 718 GT4 and while I daily my FL5 and have yet to take it to a track its incredible to think that I would probably have just as much fun in it as I did in that car.
I am genuinely curious if the OEM FL5 mount is stiffer than the one in the FK8.
I may end up finding whatever is slightly stiffer than the PRL RMM and replacing it at some point. I dont mind some NVH - but I dont feel like I am getting any NVH from it lol.
I am glad I am not taking crazy pills - I could tell a pretty significant difference when I had the PRL RMM installed on my FK8. Then I did the same to my FL5 and I can barely tell its there.
I have 3D maxpider Kagu mats (3dmatsusa) currently and like them well enough.. I want a set in red but $700 for mats is ridiculous. Does anyone have any of those "tux" or "lux" style mats or have any experience with them? I dont want to have carpeted mats but would like something all-seasonish...
The hell. yeah that isnt normal. Mine doesnt do that with apple maps or google maps. I would check settings in the android auto app if thats what youre using if you havent yet.
When it displays, can you use the roller thing on the right side of the steering wheel so that you dont have to view the turn by turn? Thats weird that it isnt selected and still displaying..
I had mine paint corrected prior to the ceramic coat. Manufacturers do not do a great job painting cars. Is it required? I dont think so but I would recommend it.
I had my front done as well and it just helps so so so much driving at night when visibility is poor. I have awful eyesight (shocked I know). I dont remember the percent but it was somewhere between 80-95 on the front and then 35 on the front two side windows and then 30 or 25 on the rear two...
I dont think thats a dry filter. If those are the correct dimensions the following link is the dry version.
