  1. Report: 11th Gen Civic Hatchback Premiers in July

We already know what the hatch's back end will look like based on the spy shots and the patent images... Personally, I like the tail light treatment on this rendering more than what is actually going to be on the hatch, but its not bad either, better than the sedans massive sonata looking rear...
  2. Walkaround video of 2022 Civic Touring by The Straight Pipes

I'm with you on the tail lights. I generally don't dislike the new styling, it's grown on me over time, but the tail lights really let the whole thing down. As you said, they're way too big.... they could've done something really cool and minimalist that flows with the rest of the car. Here's...
  3. 2022 Civic Hatchback Spied Again With New Wheels, Less Camo

I miss the spoiler that split the rear window. I hope they offer something similar at least in accessories, if not by trim level. I've driven a civic hatch on one occasion and didn't find the spoiler to really block that much of the rear view, and it helped hide the rear windshield wiper. In...
  4. 2022 Civic Sedans Built & Ready to Ship (Exterior/Interior Shots)

They're to control the air vents (close/open/reposition air flow/etc)
  5. Window Sticker for 2022 Civic Sedan Sport 2.0L

Not shocking we're seeing these huge mark ups. The new and used car market is a mess because of the chip shortages. Until the chip shortage is gotten under control, it's not a great time to be buying a car (great time to sell however).
  6. Manual transmission confirmed for 11th gen Civic Hatchback, Si, Type R + tons of official details from Honda!

Too bad. Guess I'll keep my 10th gen. The 11th gen literally offers nothing better than what I already have. This'll be the first generation I'll skip since the 8th gens came out. Maybe they'll actually offer something worth while come time for the mid cycle refresh. Typical Honda bull...
  7. Official SONIC GRAY 2022+ 11th Gen Civic & Si Thread

Like i mentioned in my other post, a lot of that color depends on the lighting conditions.... in bright direct light I'm not a fan, regardless of what car it's on, but in less direct light/cloudy/shade I tend to love it. But I completely get your perspective too.
  8. Official SONIC GRAY 2022+ 11th Gen Civic & Si Thread

I'm not sure about that... I've seen some SGP Accord sport's driving about and they look pretty sharp... given the new civics similarities in design, I think it'll look good. Maybe not as good as the 10th gen, but still sharp.
  9. Release date guesses?

I agree 100%, if the current ILX were to keep it's current pricing. But the all new Acura compact sedan coming within a year is most likely going to command a price between $31-34k before adding something like the A-Spec package. Compared to a $26k civic Si... that's not exactly a reasonable...
  10. Official SONIC GRAY 2022+ 11th Gen Civic & Si Thread

Sonic Grey is a toss up for me because it changes so drastically in different lighting. In these pics I love it, that medium flat gray color, but I know from my brother in laws hatch that in sunlight it takes on a more... pastel blue gray tone that i'm not particularly in love with...
  11. Release date guesses?

100%, Honda's own stubborness would be the only thing keeping an Si auto option from happening. Cut off their nose to spite their face. Despite demand, business/sales sense, and competition Honda is not known for making sound decisions on certain things. I'm hopeful, but also not holding my breath.
  12. Release date guesses?

As if automatic optioned sports cars don't exist already from other brands.... why would the Si suddenly be some magical exception that everyone would be wrecking them and they'd dominate lower trim sales? lmao. At a price point of probably over $26k the LX and Sport trims would easily continue...
  13. 2022 Civic Sedan First Official Image! Specs and Info Coming April 28

If you look closely at the rear lights, it appears that the brake lights are 2 LED lines below the outside halogen element (turn or reverse lights). So when illuminated would create kind of a squared off "C" shape in combination with the upper tail light element. At least that's what I can see.
  14. The "Should there be an Si hatch" Poll

Pretty much what I've been saying the whole time as well. Mirror the sedan trim lineup (maybe with very slight adjustments here and there, kind of like the coupe/sedan differences that existed). Offer Si sedan and hatch. Price it between the EX and Touring model. Perfect scenario IMO and makes...
  15. 2022 Civic Sedan Pricing Starts at $21,700 and Goes on Sale June 16!

Right? In all seriousness, compared to my current EX coupe, the price difference of the EX to the Touring if you aren't super limited on budget, is the way to go, the value the EX used to hold IMO is gone. Sport if you're budget conscious, touring if less so. Maybe the Si will hold that sweet in...
  16. 2022 Civic Sedan Pricing Starts at $21,700 and Goes on Sale June 16!

I'm sure honda will offer multiple accessory options for wheels, they usually do... but they'll probably run you an additional $1500 or so. Honda usually has 1 wheel design for each trim, then they offer 2-3 optional accessory wheels across the lineup. I'm with you on the black wheels, I feel...
  17. 2022 Civic Sedan Pricing Starts at $21,700 and Goes on Sale June 16!

It's complicated because the pre-refresh EX was a lower trim than the EX-T that was offered with the turbo and additional features. After the update, the EXT became the new EX and they added the Sport Trim in place of the old EX. So the sport trim is closer (price wise and feature wise) to...
  18. 2022 Civic Sedan Pricing Starts at $21,700 and Goes on Sale June 16!

I could definitely see the trickle down come time for the mid model updates, at least to the EX trim. Both in price increases over the next 5-6 years of the cars lifespan, as well as some of the features trickling down, which happened after the 10th update when they moved the touchscreen down to...
  19. 2022 Civic Sedan Pricing Starts at $21,700 and Goes on Sale June 16!

It's not surprising the LX got the biggest bump... given that it has gained quite a few new features over the 2021... touch screen, AA/AC, push button ignition, LED headlights, etc etc. However... the fact that the Touring remains the same price as the 21' despite it's new "premium features"...
  20. 2022 Civic Sedan Pricing Starts at $21,700 and Goes on Sale June 16!

The LX got the largest price increase of all the trims. The Touring remained the same compared to the 2021. Safe to assume the Si will slot into that large gap between the EX and Touring at around $26,200 give or take a few hundred.
