Can we just note the seat material on the japanese EX trim? Can we have that please instead of the full leather on the sport touring? I love that microfiber like center insert with the leather bolsters. Looks way more high end and would be grippier than full leather.
The Si sedan didn't come around until the second or third year of the 8th gen civic... maybe if demand is high enough they'll add the HB Si into the fold
Just to show how coupe-like the new hatch is... I dropped it into photoshop and made a coupe. I changed NOTHING in the shape of the car, I only moved the B pillar back and deleted the rear door handle/cut line. Really shows just how coupe-like the new hatch is.
Honda already stated that the Si would be manual only during the sedan reveal. So I don't think anyone has anything to worry about, unless the honda reps were just blatantly lying. Honda definitely is missing a chance at making an Si hatch... they could've done a manual only si sedan and made...
They didn’t fire the designers, they used a totally different design team. 10th gen was design by American Honda design studio, 11th was designed by Japan design studio. Apparently Japan HATED the 10th gen design.
Also, don’t think they were going for a hatch look. They wanted a coupe look...
i wish they’d kept the gloss black pillars too. AND the sport touring has the chrome window trim instead of the black like the sport?????? Why Honda!?
now I could definitely get into that idea. I was hoping the sport touring would get a power bump over the sedan. But it isn’t, so it’s gonna be sloooooow. But a 212hp hybrid setup would probably be pretty lively. Maybe mid model update? If not, maybe the 12th gen.
well I’m 33 so I guess I’m too old for that too. Haha. But honestly I would’ve hated it even when I was younger. I wanna see the CAR and hear about the CAR. Thankfully it seems like Honda has gone ahead and given all the info in the press release.
Well. I like the look. And while I’m not at all shocked, a bit disappointed the sport touring didn’t get an additional power bump compared to the sedan. That probably means a 0-60 time close to 8 seconds (versus 7 seconds in the 10th gen). Now, once updated ktuner or hondata kits come out and we...
Hopefully this is a full reveal and not just another 30 second teaser commercial like they did with the sedan, only to have the ACTUAL reveal with some info a month later. But I'm not particularly hopeful. And somehow doubt we'll hear anything about the Si model(s) other than "more info coming...
Motortrend seems to think this as well. But again, given the spy shot of what we assume is the Si sedan and the possible overlap of a sport touring, who knows.
So initial reveal this week... probably a full reveal August.... on sale September. Will be interesting to see what, if any differences the hatch will have compared to the sedan in terms of its trims, engines, features, etc.
The hatch is the last vestige of the 11th gen for me. I know I like...
No idea. Based off of a quick google search of a couple online sources like model/trim combos of the pre and post refresh 10th gens were all within 1/10th of a second of each other Sedans 6.7-6.8 as their best numbers. Hatches had a best times of 6.9-7.1 depending on trim. Coupes posted 6.6-6.7...
I have had both a 2016 pre refresh and post refresh 2019... there is zero difference in the performance of my two models. Certainly nothing amounting to anything near a full second slower. As far as I know, any tests done on the post refresh civics showed identical performance numbers to the pre...
