  1. Release date guesses?

I'd totally agree if not for the fact the ILX exists, and is being replaced most likely with something similar to the Si setup and platform, meaning that they'd already have a ready to go auto option. That being said, the ILX replacement might be what would prevent an auto Si from happening, but...
  2. Release date guesses?

Most of the reports I've seen that have had interviews with Honda their execs were saying "a manual will continue to be offered" not "manual-only" in motortrend, car and driver, etc. I already have issues with that report as they misstated 1.6T instead of 1.5T... what else did they mistranslate...
  3. Report: Manual Transmission Coming For 11th-Gen Civic Si, Type R, and Hatch

Yet they have a perfectly capable 8-speed DCT being used in the ILX that obviously is cost effective enough to warrant the low starting price, and is capable of handling the output of an Si grade engine.
  4. Release date guesses?

The fact that there is a $3600 gap between the EX and Touring with the other trims having roughly a $1500 gap really makes me think the Si model will end up slotting between the EX and Touring where the EXL used to live and will get a selection of trickle down features from the Touring. So...
  5. Release date guesses?

I'm hoping they'll have the hatch and Si model(s) out by the end of the year. It would make some sense the CTR might be delayed slightly into early next year. Hoping we'll see the sedans on sale by early June. Reveal the hatch/Si models come September. October sale for hatches. December sale for...
  6. Improved seats in 2022 Civic?

I personally hope they don't change the seating position, or at least make the seats adjustable enough to keep the low seating position. I love the low seating position in my 10th gen. A tall ride height just makes the car feel like a bus, and diminishes headroom. I like having my shoulder more...
  7. 2022 Civic Sedan Production Begins in Canada

This gen of civic (auto hatch si dependent) has had me cross shopping all over the place. The kia stinger was one I looked at... the new Acura ILX replacement is another one I'm excited to see. I looked at the Kia K5 GT model as well. And looked long and hard at a Hyundai Veloster Turbo (but...
  8. 2022 Civic Sedan Production Begins in Canada

If they don't offer an auto option Si hatch then I'm keeping my 19' EX coupe and will start doing mods to keep it fun for a few more years until something worth while comes along.
  9. 2022 Civic Sedan Spied in Costco Parking Lot

I actually like those wheels compared to my current EX. However. No fog lights???? On an EX? Why are they neutering the features on the EX so badly? The EX was great because it had all the must have features minus the leather or above and beyond features of the touring. This gen of EX just seems...
  10. 2022 Civic Sedan Production Begins in Canada

As much as I want an auto option for the Si, I agree... while i don't dislike the CVT as much as some... a sporty trim like the Si should have a DCT or even the 10-speed from the accord... stepped auto with paddles definitely better to preserve the sporty intentions.
  11. 2022 Civic Sedan Production Begins in Canada

Based on the wheels, they're touring models.
  12. 2022 Civic Sedan Production Begins in Canada

One would hope, given what happened on the Accord, that Honda would know to look for this on the civic/take steps to make sure it isn't an issue.
  13. 2022 Civic Sedan Production Begins in Canada

All-New 2022 Honda Civic Sedan Begins Production in Canada 11th generation of Honda’s longest running nameplate starts production in Alliston, Ontario Honda of Canada Mfg. has been building Civic continuously for 33 years, longer than any other Honda plant in the world currently producing...
  14. Its Here! 2022 Honda Civic Sedan Official Pics, Videos and Specs

We already know the hatch IS NOT getting the 1.5T standard this time. Multiple test cars have been seen sporting only a single exhaust outlet. While I don’t know definitively the trim levels of the hatch, my educated guess with the hatch moving to NA for production says it’ll mirror the sedan in...
  15. Si equipment

agreed. I think, when you conceptualize the type of buyer for an Si. Sound system matters, and the extra info and customization of the digital gauges really suits the sport intentions of the car. While the larger touch screen is nice, I interact with my touchscreen hardly ever once my phone is...
  16. Its Here! 2022 Honda Civic Sedan Official Pics, Videos and Specs

I don’t think there will be a sport touring hatch this time around because of the possible Si hatch. The sedan and hatch trim lines will mirror eachother. Just look at it this way, the accord sport model comes in the base sport, and the upgraded 2.0T sport (with EX features). The civic would...
  17. Comparisons of patent images 11th gen vs 10th gen Civic

I did a placement of the new sedan and hatch, it looks like it’ll retain the slightly shorter overall length compared to the sedan (about 4 inches). Other than the back end treatment I suspect they’ll be identical in most ways. Honda may include some of the sportier touches to the interior...
  18. Si equipment

Of the 3 big touring feature (full digital display, Bose system, larger touch screen) if the Si doesn’t get all 3 I hope it’ll get at least 2 of the 3. Personally I think the fully digital instrument cluster makes the most sense for its customizable display for the Si. Then they just need pick...
  19. Its Here! 2022 Honda Civic Sedan Official Pics, Videos and Specs

That's something I've mentioned about these auto magazines and reviewers.... when the 10th gen concept dropped they were IN LOVE with it... they absolutely gushed over the style.... and then once the car was out... suddenly it was polarizing... over styled... etc.. What changed??? I can almost...
  20. Its Here! 2022 Honda Civic Sedan Official Pics, Videos and Specs

If you want a (mostly) full breakdown of the new civic sedan and its trims go to hondanews.com for the full press release. They’ve only really fleshed out some of the features. Mostly for the touring. Some info for the lower trims is still MIA (like stereo system sizes).
