This looks promising, basically a better hatchback than the Civic with either 1.5T or 2.0T variants. Obviously over 30K I'll probably save up my money for awhile(like 5 YEARS) and consider this esp. if there's a manual version.
Great question, it's a horribly unregulated industry here in the U.S. some states much worse than others. U.S. car lots are also some of the most depressing/soulless places on earth. Almost every one is the exact same. I bought my Si private party, I vow to NEVER step on a dealer lot ever again.
Great review I admit I'm pleasantly surprised I kinda thought Gen 11 was going to be a dud. This review is also a reminder to me to make sure to stick with the turbo no matter what. In my case I'm prohibited from driving a CVT so I'm putting the Civic Hatchback manual back on my short shopping...
As of right now, Honda's own website says all the hatches have the turbo. What the hell is going on Honda?

Yes it did have the old style radio/no touchscreen which was a huge plus because you could either install an aftermarket 7 inch Kenwood/JVC etc. or you could even install the Honda Infotainment touchscreen.
Yes, Honda is certainly doing everything they can to push people into the more expensive EX or Touring. I think the EX is a good option if you want quieter, softer 17 inch wheels. The Touring has the louder/rougher 18 inch wheels but adds a lot of features like 9 inch vs. 7 inch Infotainment...
I don't understand why Honda felt they had to make such a big design change, especially after 5 years of an unqualified success. The 10 gen lobster claw lights are really great, nobody ever complained about them did they? All Honda had to do was to clean up the bumper, replace the waffle paddles...
I like the overall look of sketchmonkey but I'm not sure it would as practical as 11 gen nor add any cu. ft in the back(maybe less). Man, I miss the 43 cu. ft cargo of my old xB1!
There's quite a bit difference between the touring and Si such as larger brake rotors, adaptive dampeners, stiffer springs, more rigid stabilizer bars(especially in rear), Type-R bushings, and of course the limited slip-differential. I believe there's also variable ratios with the power steering...
That's the thing, the ST hatch will be a very nice ride but it can't compete with the Si's performance.
1. The Type R will be the performance hatch(on steroids)
2. The ST hatch will be the comfy/upscale turbo hatch w/ manual option.
3. The EX-L hatch will be the CVT only + turbo hatch w/17 inch...
