That's the thing they're a compromise car..I've read they get 30%-40% less mpg when the temperature drops. MPG goes from 45 down to 30 just like a regular compact.
I only liked the styling of 10 Gen's with the big waffle fake vents, whenever I see a 10 Gen with the smaller fake vents I think of them as vastly inferior looking. When Honda later put that split in the big waffle fake vents I hate them forever more.
I've seen 3 of the 11 Gen Civics in the...
I'm not gonna lie it's a little disappointing, still it will remain one of the best value cars you can buy. If I was forced to buy a new civic today I'd prob go with the N.A. Sport Hatch and take my 11 gen frustrations out on it by beating the f'ing piss out of it.
P.S. That old/red Si hatch is...
I just can't deal with loud road noise anymore, listening to the stereo or talking to someone on the phone and/or passenger is a good portion of the driving experience. There's no excuse for this Honda, after all we're well into the 21st Century.
Dislikes
- Infotainment screen rattles/Seat belt rattles
- Road noise worse(73 DB is unacceptable!) than Elantra & Mazda 3
- No lumbar support on any trim
- Leather seats not ventilated
- No heated steering wheel in...
At this point I'd rather move forward with the 11th Gen as I think it will be a much more refined ride. I can add an amp and better speakers w/sub and I'll be all set.
Although I have an Si I'm looking at that Sport Hatch and not the Sport Touring.
Here's why:
158-hp N.A. vs. 180-hp Turbo - I can live with the 158 HP just fine
6 Speed Manual option - I HAVE to have a Manual until my left knee give out(10 years lol)
Cloth vs. Leather seats - I prefer cloth...
I'm also pretty sure Canadians pay a lot more for Civics than we do in the U.S. Because Honda sells less cars in Canada than the U.S. they insist on charging more. What's really horrible is this means less money in Canadians pockets for Tim Horton's coffee!
Those blokes in Swindon would come in after a night at the pub and ruin those hatches. Hopefully you didn't get those telltale scratches on your hood/roof from all their over-buffing.
Great point about reliability for the 1st year, plus the report that the Indiana plant is having a very tough time making the hatchbacks fit and finish work.
You'll have to wait for an economic downturn before you can fight against dealer markups. I've read this will happen in the next year or so. Right now dealers have ALL the leverage. I'd just use this as an opportunity to keep the car you have and save money. If you insist on buying from a...
I'd go with the Sport Touring it's definitely going to have great resale value, I love the bigger infotainment screen, nav as I think your case is where you should ride in style for 3 straight years. Also, I think the instrument display is bigger than lower trims isn't it?
