Your car looks great with the 1ā drop. How has it affected drivability? I would love to lower the car slightly + install a front splitter, but I do scrape on certain angles at stock height even. Any issues thus far?
Congratulations on the car! Yes, I picked mine up the week after Christmas and have had it to a tire shop for all seasons and to someone for ppf.
I took it to Vortext Detail. He did a pretty good job all in all and was very fairly priced. Now about 2 weeks from ppf and window tint, the only...
I didnāt mean to hijack this thread š«£ Yes, Insurance was fair. Needless to say, it was fun to rack up the miles and I am glad to see others doing the same!
If I had to guess, they mostly happen in construction zones. There are quite a few construction zones on the highway around where I live. I had 2 dings in the windshield from those areas despite not driving closely behind other vehicles.
Last time I was able to drive the car immediately. I think they left a day in-between in order yo take care of wi dow tint.
I only had high impact areas quoted (front bumper, fenders, hood, headlight, splitter, mirrors, everything down the sides from bottom 1/4 door and below). That tends...
I am in Ohio and just went through 3 quotes. I am only doing high impact areas (entire front, mirros, a pillars, sideskirt/rocker panels), but I did receive quotes for full install which is not worth it to me.
The range seemed to be about $5500-7000 for full ppf. There was a 4th shop that...
I second this. Full front end was essential. I had the sides from about bottom 1/4 of the doors and down wrapped too. The only other thing that I would add onto that is the A-pillars. After 26500 miles, the only chips in the paint were on my A-pillars.
Settled - I will order a set. I am just looking for something easy to slide on and off the seats and maybe leave on for the normal daily commute to work. The seat covers that others have posted about that are a more tailored fit seem nice, but doesnāt make sense at the moment to spend that...
Initial quote from insurance was barely enough to cover the new car. I am working on getting back the cost of the PPF at the moment. From what I understand so far, the person that hit me and ran did not have insurance so everything is though my insurance. Unlucky for the other person, her car...
Are you in Columbus too?
As for PPF, I went to Esoteric the first time out in New Albany in Ohio. I did the high impact areas which was the entire front end, mirror caps, bottom 1/4 of the doors and everything beneath on the sides. I think that package is the minimum that is nice. The next...
Solid recommendations. I have looked at the Hypersuede seat covers and they dk look nice. It appears that he does not have the FL5 covers for sale at the moment on ebay. Someone else recommended that screen protector to me also so it is added to the list of things to get.
For the floor...
Thanks for the input. I did get after it for the 51 weeks I owned the car! It was nice to at lease see how various things wore out and what I need to do better this time to prevent those items. Going over your recommendations:
1) I considered the OEM mats, but ended up with TuxMats. I must...
I picked up my FL5 (black) in December of 2022. After nearly 27,000 miles, I looked at a few elements and thought āI wish I had done a better job taking care of that.ā If I started over, what are things that I would do differently?
Unfortunately, I have to start over. 2 weeks ago someone hit...
If I was looking at OEM colors, Boost Blue and Championship White would have been my #1 choices. However, if I could have picked any paint color, it would have to be the Lexus āAtomic Silverā color. I love a good silver with extra depth to the contrast. If I didnāt have PPF, I would have...
