After doing a couple oil changes and installing a RMM i noticed the front lift point appears to be dented/collapsed inward. Can this effect alignment in anyway? Is it designed to collapse a bit after a lot of use? I used a thick rubber jack pad and always made sure it was centered on the...
i wonder if someone money shifted it before you took possession while on a test drive or one of the lot porters hooned it.
but this is why warranty's exist. manufacturing isn't perfect.
i'm interested to see what caused the failure.
i also had the transmission in reverse so the car wouldn't roll back. not sure if that helped line it up or not. you already have the front on jackstands. you can just jack up on the rear jack point under the rear bumper.
you are trying to install it upside down.
put the chassis side vertical bolt in 1st. didn't even have to jack up engine doing it that way.
if it's still not lining up get a jack with a wooden block and lift on the oil pan. just be gentle.
PRL rear motor mount is the best bang for the buck IMO. completely transforms the way the car drives. thought about doing the PRL HVI but not sure it's worth it for minimal gains. and obviously a tune would be great if you don't mind voiding your warranty.
there is no "upshift rev matching" with the system turned off. are you referring to rev hang? it's not bad at all with auto rev match turned off.
i honestly don't know what you're talking about. you must have auto rev match turned on.
i saw someone use a torque wrench in a video with long extension. i just used a crow's foot wrench. had to work with what was available. used a torque wrench on the chassis side so i'd know approximately how much force to use. you can also just use a regular box wrench but i like how the...
what i do if there's a hail storm coming is grab several comforters that i'm not using and drape them over the car. throw a couple pillows under it to cushion. kinda a pain in the ass to dry everything afterwards but it works. you could also get one of those pop up tents. although might be...
