what's with all the different spark plug part numbers? Honda says DILKAR8P8SY . i think that's the Japanese part number though. NGK America says 92411 for the Si (0.030" gap) . is that correct?

they would be the same? or do I need to order direct from Honda?

Both numbers represent the same plug. NGK has always had 2 different numbers like that. No idea why. The long number you referenced is printed on the plug itself, and the box will usually have both as I recall from my days working in a garage.

Side Note: Once you do certain upgrades, the NGK Iridium (ILZKAR8H8S/Stock No. 95112) with a slightly smaller gap is also recommended.

My NAPA store carries NGK Iridium plugs and the price isn't crazy.
BTW, NGK has a wide variety of Iridium plugs for older cars and motorcycles. I've found they really make a good difference, enough to where I had to retune the carbs on motorcycles. And they also last longer.

I swear i saw their direct shop webpage a couple of weeks ago. You can get them from sparkplugs.com for under 20 bucks each.

https://www.sparkplugs.com/ngk-92411-dilkar8p8sy-laser-iridium-spark-plug

you can't order direct from NGK, unfortunately. you have to order from one of their "authorized retailers".

https://ngksparkplugs.com/en/about-us/where-to-buy

seems Rockauto has the best price, but they aren't an authorized retailer so they could be counterfeit.

measuring Every plug gap is Manditory..I Never rely on the factory to get it 100% right..AND..there are three fake plugs out there for every real one..and that can be a real engine breaker.

I would think (or hope) that any auto parts chain, like O O O’Reilly auto parts (oww!) should carry the real deal.
