what's with all the different spark plug part numbers? Honda says DILKAR8P8SY . i think that's the Japanese part number though. NGK America says 92411 for the Si (0.030" gap) . is that correct?

they would be the same? or do I need to order direct from Honda?

Both numbers represent the same plug. NGK has always had 2 different numbers like that. No idea why. The long number you referenced is printed on the plug itself, and the box will usually have both as I recall from my days working in a garage.

Side Note: Once you do certain upgrades, the NGK Iridium (ILZKAR8H8S/Stock No. 95112) with a slightly smaller gap is also recommended.

Rock Auto is safe as well..it is about the only cheap option and multiple reviews have been made showing Rock Auto parts are the real deal.

My NAPA store carries NGK Iridium plugs and the price isn't crazy.
BTW, NGK has a wide variety of Iridium plugs for older cars and motorcycles. I've found they really make a good difference, enough to where I had to retune the carbs on motorcycles. And they also last longer.

What about just a tune?
I imagine stock plugs are fine for a basic tune. I’ve been running a tune for 13k miles on the original plugs. I’ve never heard of any tuners recommending otherwise for this level of tuning.
