Hello! Wondering if anyone has experienced this on their FL5. Mine has 29,500 miles on it and has randomly developed a zip sound on the 1-2 upshift. It sounds like the synchro “brake pad” on the bottom of the blocking ring is not grabbing the cone of the gear effectively. Double clutching eliminates the noise completely. Fluid is AMSOIL synchromesh that is changed every 5000. Did a drain and inspection of the fluid after the noise developed and there were no chucks and only the average amount of brass swirl in the fluid from synchro wear. Second gear also whines a little louder than it used to. No grinding or crunching has ever happened. Still shifts normally. Any information or if anyone else has experienced this would be appreciated!

I've heard of others having similar issues with Amsoil MTF. i'd drain it and use Honda MTF. I use it and fluid always comes out looking brand new, even with 20k miles on it. no metal flakes (unlike my past cars which always had some gunk on the drain plug)
