Alright, so i purchased my 22' blazing orange Si on friday. Here is my rundown on the comfort, performance, and features.
(This is my first Si and first MT vehicle) coming from a 2017 civic sport

Lets start with Comfort:
The seats (fronts, have not sat in back) im 5'6" 150lbs and let me tell you those Si seats are COMFORTABLE! i did a hour and 30 trip saturday and a hour and 30 back, had zero issues with my back or legs.
The suspension, its stiff. You are gonna feel those bumps and potholes. Even highway and interstate bumps and cracks can get bouncy if its a consistent bump pattern at cruising speed (not a single road, interstate, highway is paved the correct way in New Orleans).
Its surprisingly quiet, when your not stomping on the throttle lol. Cruising around is quite nice, not much road noise, tires are quiet even though its running the eagle sports. To top it off, i have not heard any traditional Honda dash or plastic rattles... YET.

Performance:
Jesus Christ Almighty... VTEC is fun. Once them revs get past 4500rpm its showtime! It pins you to the seat. The stock exhaust and sound is just soooooo damn good. The steering is super tight and stiff even in normal setting, but very managable The gears are a tad bit short but thats okay. That short throw shifter though.. its soooo crisp and smooth. For being a NOOB at stick, the clutch is pretty lightweight and easy to use.
The turbo is there ALL THE TIME! I have not launched the car yet so im not sure yet how it launches ive only done 40-50 rolls. Still, FUN AS CAN BE! The eagle sport tires are super grippy round bends and corners. I do have to say the car could use a little bit bigger brakes. Still good for what they are and do. But, in the future if you adding performance mods id def get bigger brakes.

Features:
The dash is ABSOLUTELY so much fun to use and play around with. First i will state my top 3 favorite features..
1. the turbo gauge/throttle & brake input
2. The sound it makes when you open the door and the Si logo appears LOL
3. Oddly.. the clock formats and backgrounds. My Fk7 had such a bland dash and feature setup so having a cool clock and background makes me really feel like i have a nice high end car, its very sleek looking at night 😂
The whole A/C system is very new and interesting. I'll tell ya it blows air hard even at the lowest speed setting, so its nice being able to point the vents in any direction.
The apple car play im new to, it is very simple and easy to use. i love love love all the options on the gauge cluster. The turbo gauge, fuel info, g force meter, throttle brake input.
alright now the safety features are cool but a little excessive. The lane departure system goes bonkers if you even think about going over the line and not using a blinker to deactivate it. Around here the roads are shit and the people who paint the roads are shit. So they have major screw ups when drawing the lines so the system thinks you arent in your lane when its just an old faded paint line. They have another safety feature i like is when in cruise control you can set it up to stay 1-4 car lanes behind the vehicle in front of you. It even senses them braking so it brakes for you. Pretty damn cool technology.

So, thats about all i have on it now after three days of ownership. its been raining since friday so i dont have any good pictures it should be sunny rest of the week, so time to get some shots of it in the next few days.

Thank yall, have a good day mates :drive:

Ig: Slowcarspecialist will start to post more on this ig account. still switching stuff and followings over.

Great write up. Your assessments of the pros and cons are mostly shared with the new Civic community. Enjoy the ride!

It doesn't have that type of VTEC... Also, 200 Ft/lbs of TQ pins you to the seat?

Sorry, I had to.

It has vtec for part throttle fuel economy, not performance.
Hasn't that always been the case though? It just lets the engine alternate between low lift and higher lift to maximize efficiency (whether thats fuel economy or performance)

The turbocharger is supplying enough extra air that it negates the use for higher-lift lobes on the intake cam, on the exhaust cam it allows for better gas flow out of the cylinder. This has a positive effect on building turbo boost therefore more power.
