Hi,

Does anyone here know if the new 2022 Civic base LX trim will continue with a naturally aspirated, port injection engine?? I REALLY hope so, as I feel this engine will be the most reliable over the long term. I really DO NOT want turbo or DI engine!

It has been more or less confirmed that the engines will carryover from the 10th generation, most likely with slight tweaks for efficiency and power.

This is correct. My store has a few units entering production this week. LX & Sport are listed as 2.0 and EX & Touring are 1.5T

Are you able to see if there’s any 6MT or are they all CVTs?

Thank you, sir. I’m still holding out hope for a 6MT hatch (base trim) in the fall.
Don't hold your breath. I'm not. :( 6MT is supposed to be for Si and R only! :( :( :(

That's disappointing. I was hoping the Hatch would still offer a 6MT. Maybe we will get a Hatchback SI this go round.

Here's some "source info"
(I do inventory for my dealership)
For 2022, no 5MT or 6MT are listed. Only CVT's.

Thanks - Are these sedan configurations or hatchback?
The 6MT sedan was discontinued a couple of years ago, that would not be new news.

Hatches don't launch until September I believe.
That's what I figured.
The 10th-gen sedan has already been CVT-only for a couple of years now, I don't think anybody expected Honda to bring the 6MT back for the 11th-gen sedan.

How much time from showing up on the in inventory system to landing on the dealer's lot from your own previous experience? Thanks in advance.
