I personally love both designs.

All things considered, I'd say the original RPF1 is a testament to how reliable a lightweight cast wheel can be. The TE37 is a timeless classic, but typically far more expensive. If both wheels were priced equally, I would still probably choose the RPF1 because I prefer silver wheels to black, brown, or other colors. I don't remember the last time I saw Volk make TE37's in silver, which would be the only way I'd buy them.

My favorite Volk color of all time was "mercury silver". AFAIK, it's been discontinued many moons ago.

So I really don't know anything about wheels. I thought Enkei was a good brand, and I liked the look of the TS-6s. Should I be looking seriously at something like the Titan7 T-6s instead? I'm just looking for a nice 5-7 spoke wheel with the classic JDM spoke look from the 90s. Not looking to track but just as a daily-driver 18" tire with some PS4 all seasons or similar.
Thereā€™s nothing wrong with Enkei (RPF-1s are used by enthusiasts the world over) or cast wheels (probably 95% of alloy wheels are cast). Buy what you like. :)

mercury silver was able to be bought on SLā€™s up until last year & on 15ā€ OGā€™s you can still get them.

I looked for years and most places did not offer mercury silver in typical offsets and sizes like 18ā€™s. I was always told that it would require a big batch order (like a group buy), which vendors werenā€™t willing to start because of the black/brown wheel trend nowadays. Same thing happened with TE37 SAGA; available as black, navy, and brown only AFAIK.

Anyway, best aftermarket wheels I ever had.

this is exactly why teā€™s are the best wheel ever made. They make any car look even better. I had mercury teā€™s for my fk8 in 2018 when they dropped the SL in fk8 sizing

Canā€™t argue with that. Mercury teā€™s is where itā€™s at šŸ»

Seeing it in person next to an FK8, the stock offset on the FL5 isnā€™t as bad. I have a feeling FK8 owners taking their spacers over to FL5 might experience some rubbing.

2023 for you fixed ops.
unveiled in 2022, releasing in 2022, picture taken in 2022ā€¦

just because you work for a low volume dealership who wonā€™t get theirs this year doesnā€™t mean the rest of us are in that boat

It's not a high volume dealership. It's not the smallest. Still not sure it will impact when we get our CTR. It hasn't before. I strongly believe Honda looks to see everyone has it before the rest get several more. The first model was in the 800s.

Still I understand your intent is to talk down to me. I don't mind. Keep it coming.
