Hi all,
Just wanted to post my recent purchase of a 22’ Civic Sport Touring (CVT) in Platinum White Pearl.
I have owned quite a few Hondas over the past 12 years or so. Most I still have. Del Sol/CRX/18’ Type R/s2000.
This particular car was meant to replace a 2015 Honda Fit EX (6spd-man)as my daily driver. I sort of pushed myself to buy the CVT automatic as out of all these vehicles I do not have one single automatic transmission.
So far I am very pleased with this car. The comfort, the amenities and the practicality.
I even like the way the cvt is programmed. It does a decent job disguising itself as a traditional automatic under most normal or even WOT driving. I have no issues there. Just hoping that in the long run I don’t experience any issues with it. Again, I am used to owning manuals where I am never concerned about the transmissions longevity.
I brought this home this past Wednesday and immediately went to town prepping it for a ceramic coating (very into polishing/detailing world). The entire car was lightly polished to finesse any dealership swirl marks/scratches (you would be suprised sometimes just how many little marks are in the paint, brand new!)
The whole car was done using Carpro Cquartz UK followed by a 2nd coat of Cquartz Sic.
I even took the time now to remove one wheel at a time and coat the wheel faces and barrels, also ceramic coating just about any painted surface of suspension components and inner wheel whell/fenders.
I hope to be active on the 11th gen civic forum page to see how these cars fare over the next few years. As of now there are no plans for this car other than some splash guards and floor mats. I just want to maintain and enjoy the best I can!
Thanks for reading,
Dan
