it looks like you addressed any and all issues reported in the early stages of this being released. I look forward to buying this intake.

it pulls from both the top and the snorkle on the bottom. mostly the bottom, think of the slit on top like back-up. Air moving over a surface will always be cooler.

Any of the +3,+6, or +9 base calibrations will work as our MAF was designed with the OEM fitment in mind.

That’s great! I got a little sad when I saw there wasn’t a dedicated tune for your intake. Glad it’ll work though!

I just stumbled upon 27Won from searching for answers on if a CAI or SRI would be better for my 2020 Civic EX hatch. After reading this entire thread, 27Won's intake is my choice. Vincent seems like a pretty chill dude and has actively made efforts to improve the product, based on the community feedback. In April, when I get my bonus, I'm thinking of picking up the intake, as well as, the drop-in turbo. I'll be running stock tune for the time being though.

I recently installed this intake on a CVT model. Following the instructions at https://store.27won.com/support/instructions/L15_6_305_10_installation_instructions.pdf was difficult due to the lower duct rubbing the CVT warmer. I went off the script a little bit and found some things that made it far easier.

1. On Step 12, I also removed the bracket that is below the ECU. It is MUCH easier to slip in the airbox while this is out of the way. Then I put it back in, from underneath the car, after Step 24.

2. I used different rubber isolator mounts. McMaster Carr Part number 9241K44 has a threaded stud on one side and a female threaded hole on the opposite side. Thread the stud into the frame and there is less in your way while you wiggle the airbox in. Then do final positioning and fasten using a regular hex head machine screw.

3. Instead of button head screws on Step 18, I used hex head. Not a big deal, but if you ever wanted to turn those fasteners with the airbox in place, it would be easier using a regular wrench on a hex head (less offset than an allen key/allen socket).

Now that I don’t have to worry about Christmas presents I think I’m ready to treat myself to this intake. I have a friend who says never get a CAI no matter what. Can’t risk it sucking up water. I know this is the safe version of a CAI but should I still be worried about the risk of hydro locking? We’ll get some small flash floods every now and then where I live and want to play it safe.

Only chance of hydrolocking this would be if you drive through like 3 feet of water and at that point it doesn't matter what intake you have. Even a stock intake would flood at that point.

If you want to play it safe, do not get a CAI. No sense causing yourself any unnecessary worries if you happen to go through some water, water that you'd be confident going through if you had a stock intake. It ain't worth it man.
