So I just jailbroke my ecu about a week ago, car has been running like a CHAMP. Super happy with the hondata 91oct tune for now...
Decided to do a pull while merging on the freeway, top of 3rd gear around 6k rpm and the car falls on it's face. Dash lights up like a Christmas tree (emission system error, rev match problem) I pull over, turn off the car, turn back on. I limp home as the car is only giving my around 3psi of boost. Reflash my ecu with a fresh tune from my flashpro mini and car is all good again. It seems others have had this issue, tuned, stock, etc. Will this happen again? Now I'm afraid to do a WOT pull....
Still love my car but damn.

I’ve had my car tuned for about 10 months now with a Jester tune through Hondata. Plenty of WOT pulls and this has never happened once. Maybe just a fluke. If it does happen again, definitely read what codes it’s throwing before just resetting it.

maybe your MAF is loose also? Did you mess with it at all? I pulled off my intake one day to install the Acuity cable shifter bushings and forgot to plug the MAF sensor back in before starting the car. Dash was lit like a Christmas tree and car drove like shit until I realized what I did 🤣

Same thing happened to me last week. P0011 code. Reset and it’s been fine for a week now. from my research looks like FK8s had/have this same exact issue. Some people think this happens when fuel quantity is low and the high-pressure fuel pump cavitates.

Interesting I’ve still not done a WOT pull on my FL5 yet, but plenty on my FK8 and I never saw this issue. Is this specifically due to the jailbreak and tune?

The jailbreak and tune aren’t the cause… plenty of stock ecu cars having the same issue. I will admit that was my first thought until doing some research.
