Aftermarket brake shims to reduce low speed squealing?

Getting some low speed (sub 15mph, think parking garage and residential streets) squealing with my newish Akebono pads. Anyone use aftermarket brake shims and Brake Quiet to address this?

Combination of shims and anti-rattle clips can help. Not guaranteed to fix cold squealing, but super common when folks are dual street and track builds that I work on for customers. I say they work 50% of the time.

I have Akebono on mine don’t notice that on mine but don’t frequent parking garages that often either. But as mentioned above probably could reduce and resolve your issue. As said on a real famous quote it works 60% of the time all the time !
