That wheel looks awesome. I just messaged that guy on instagram, thank you!
Yep good luck... if he doesn't reply on IG, try FB, I believe he may be more active there. May need to nudge him once in a while since he's busy lol. His alcantara is reportedly better quality than the stock pieces but they should all match aesthetically. Ask for double red stitching too, to match stock. Show him that pic you posted up top, he should be able to emulate the look. You should also request foam cushion, if you want some extra padding.

Also, as part of the transaction, you need to send him back your original piece (core), so he could use that for the next FL5 customer. That damage shouldn't be an issue since he would strip that part off anyway, so it works out.

It may still be removable. In which case, it looks like aftermarket upgrade might be the viable option.

What's the part number? Should be a good deal cheaper from one of the online parts retailers.

Ack! Detailers are “supposed” to be more careful with stuff like this, but I guess accidents happen. It’s possible it happened and they didn’t notice. Still…doesn’t help you much. $930 is awfully steep for someone else’s accident.
Get ahold of Overland. I bought an Alcantara shift boot from them. Haven’t installed it yet, but quality is excellent….but, yeah you’d probably have to replace all 4 armrests so they all match perfectly. What a pain. :/

I don't follow. You have to do all four what to match? Door cards?

Just armrests, if I get a new style or material, the other 3 need to match.

I'm tracking now. I would run the numbers on a discounted door card from one of the online parts retailers (e.g., HondaFactoryParts.com, All Discount Parts, Honda Car Parts Direct, etc.). I've seen discounts of up to 35% off retail and many are running coupon codes for 4th of July. You will likely find the door card for less than purchasing four arm rests. Also, if you finish the armrest in Alcantara, it won't match the other armrests or the material in the door card because it is not Alcantara.

That’s a good point. Unlike a mullet, the party is in the front. I don’t think it’s a problem to leave the back 2 armrests alone. If it was a Panamera or something like that, then yeah…they should definitely all match. I’d exhaust all reasonable avenues to get an OEM replacement first. Parts can be found for MUCH less $ online.

I agree, that would be the best solution.. I'm very anal about car flaws, so it be difficult but I might just have to leave it for a bit and see what comes up online in the near future.. Thanks for the help everyone! FYI - this is a much better forum than the GT3.. It's a bunch of angry old men on there :)

Well the FL5 is a fun, functional, and well-executed car that is attainable to a pretty broad audience (with ADM and availability considerations). So, you’ll get a relatively wide range of opinions and experiences here. It’s great.

The part number for a new left side door card is 83550-T60-A92ZA. $597.51 from hondaautomotiveparts.com.
Thanks for posting this. @jayely14 This is the move IMHO. This part can be had for ~$530 on All Discount Parts. Going custom, hoping it matches, and looks good doesn't seem worth the trouble. Pop off old, pop on new, done.
