Horny toad bucket of fried chicken...am I right?!?! I went to ASU back in the 90's, now I only visit once ever 3-5 years. But each trip still involves a trip to cave creek. Also, never expected to see another Creeker on here.
You know the engine and turbo are same as an Si.Wow, you are going all out!! Just curious, why not start with a better platform that can handle more power, like the Si or better yet, the Type R?

Oh, I thought the internals were stronger in the Si. I could be mistaken, wouldn't be the first time. You know the engine and turbo are same as an Si.
Only difference for us is the Si LSD and Si cam and fuel pump those are all changed on ours and the trans has a full PPG 1-4 so no trans issues
Nope all the sameOh, I thought the internals were stronger in the Si. I could be mistaken, wouldn't be the first time.
That's good. As far as the 10th gen hatchbacks were concerned, they had weaker rods than every other 1.5t model.Nope all the same
Could be different in the cvt models but we have the 6 speed sport touring and its got a L15B7 blockThat's good. As far as the 10th gen hatchbacks were concerned, they had weaker rods than every other 1.5t model.

I'm guessing since all 1.5's are built in North America now, you are correct. Cheers!
Si has a L15CA. I believe it has a slightly thicker pistons and thicker connecting rods.Could be different in the cvt models but we have the 6 speed sport touring and its got a L15B7 block
Doesnt matter on the block code, already matched the rods and pistons, same thingSi has a L15CA. I believe it has a slightly thicker pistons and thicker connecting rods.
Do the rods and pistons make a difference in your opinion? The difference looked negligible.Doesnt matter on the block code, already matched the rods and pistons, same thing
Over the 10th gen there is way more bearing material on the crank journals at the rod which will help a ton with longevity in the engine with higher HPDo the rods and pistons make a difference in your opinion? The difference looked negligible.
That’s nice to hear as a 10th gen si owner. Been wanting an 11th gen civic si but can’t find one under 36k-42k after mark up here in California. The EX will do meanwhile.Over the 10th gen there is way more bearing material on the crank journals at the rod which will help a ton with longevity in the engine with higher HP
