Damn, those are some thicc sidewalls!
Those are awesome for winter...they're exactly what ya need for snow/canada. I'll tell ya 235/40/18's SUCK in the snow. I just got brand new tires, too. Nice tread. I still got stuck 3 times the other day. Three!! I was so pissed.

Are you in snow country ? I put 215 width winter tires on my Si, narrow tires rock in winter, wide tires are not nearly as good. My car drives like a little tank through snow/ice/slush, very stable.

I think what people are trying to do is give him ideas, and share their experience with the rims they have purchased(since they have an idea of their quality, looks, and fitment.) Lightweight wheels are more often than not, more expensive. And since Civicsi82 did not give people a budget people are mostly sharing what they believe is worth the buck.

215/55/16. Looks better then 18th when not lowered, cause gap (between fender and wheel) is not as noticeable. Only 7' wide, but they look wider (probably because of Westlake SA57 tires). For my base 10th (which weights 2700lb) on stock suspension, grip level is spot on... It's very controllable since popping the rear-end out before apex (at local racetrack) is super easy.
