LOL Yup, I worked at one of the "high profitable" dealerships in lower mainland and my customers came in and said the same thing about MSRP all the time. That's right, dealerships don't change MSRP but there will be $4999 admin fee, $2995 delivery and detailing charge, $3499 for your paint protection and $2000 worth of accessories, finance or lease only (with $1000 finance charge) and btw trade-in is required... has to be within 3 years old high demand vehicle and we are guarantee to low ball the shit out you. Don't want to buy it? That's fine, just wait for something becomes available one day.
Dealers will get theirs one day especially with the push to direct sales + recession + supply stabilization. Its too bad they are so greedy but Im certain they will feel the pain eventually.

Do sneakers count if I put wheels on them?
I lost faith that my dealer will get me the car. SM went radio silent again. Saw reviews for ITS. Just went this afternoon to Erin Mills Acura and it's a done deal. Arriving 19-25 July. They added ceramic coat and 8yr warranty. Didn't need a trade in. Total came out about the same as I'd have had to pay for a type R, if not less considering that deal is nowhere near done. All 5 cars from first batch now allocated. No ETA on next batch but I had a great experience with Simon. I was in and hour in 1.5hrs. No BS.

I figured I'd give it a chance. It has better exhaust note, slightly more power, creature comforts (heated seats, heated steering wheel, electric adjustable driver seat with lumbar support, etc), more livable suspension (I'm guessing closer to that of fk8 from the sound of it) and more premium materials and looks.

Down side? It's not a Type R. I love the type R seat and really liked it. ITS is missing all the car nerd stats and that R mode cluster. I wonder if we'll be able to flash the gauge cluster software and entertainment computer software from R.

I don't have anything to trade in for a type R, so I figured if I really still want the type R, I'll be in a better position to get one.

Good choice. I figure many of us would make the ITS jump (including myself) if the R experience continues to deteriorate.

Was just watching a very detailed video. ITS engine numbers are underrated by a fair bit. Tuning is very different. They found +30lbft between 2k-3k rpm and +15hp peak compared to FL5. That's very unexpected...and welcomed.

It’s the best review in my opinion. It’s great because Mark was able to get an Integra to himself and give technical details instead of how many twinkies you can fit in the glove compartment (Raitis Ride). Makes you want the Type S since it’s more of a sure thing at this point.

Reviews are great for the ITS, making me kind of regret my deposit pulling lol. In line with what dealer said, car is being built in batches so very limited choice this MY. Great review by savageeese!

I remember some people here joked about how sad it would be for ITS to arrive before their Type Rs. Seems true for me. What a shit show of a buying experience.

I may have to change my username here. ITS seems really convincing to me now. I just wish it was easier to disable stability control. But I'm sure it will be easy with some after market mod later.

Just to make it easier for others, here's that Dyno that Sg did. Same gas, same time of day, same Dyno. So it was directly comparable. I do wonder if the Acura has more airflow which allows the higher tune from factory.

I saw the SG video, he mentioned that there will be 400 ITS batches...the good thing is that they are all north America....so while it wont be sitting on lots...it would be much more attainable than the R...i think it is reliable info considering SG video they were down in Ohio's plant and talked to head of product....think this is what north americas R like the japan productions and allocations....i was also wondering the same if the R seats and cluster can be ported over to the ITS

Winter beater currently
Almost giving up on my Type R allocation too, but the difference in MSRP between it and the Type S is significant.

Have a deposit also for the Type S for winter arrival. If I go that route, at least the exhaust and audio upgrade will be very appreciated.

Yup, I agree. I also have a winter ETA for a Type S.

It feels like salt in the wound (I'm being dramatic, I know) when see Acura GTA dealerships have ITS now appearing and are scheduled to be delivered this week or next. And some of us have been waiting almost a year for a Type R, and it's radio silence.

Honda, why won't you love me back ?
