Yeah, clutch slip would be most obvious on acceleration especially if/when going up a hill.

The only other thing I can think of (if it’s a mechanical issue and not an ECU issue) is a fuel problem ; Perhaps the fuel pump is faulty or fuel filter is clogged. Have you tried taking the car to an auto parts store to see if they can check the ECU for diagnostic codes?

I'm gonna take it to Honda on Saturday and see if they can check it out. Either fuel or ignition I'd suspect. Hopefully it's not some faulty part that is on crazy backorder.

Just had the shop foreman, in the Acura store in the auto complex I work in, do a check and relearn on everything that could be relearned so we'll see if that makes a difference. He said there are times that they miss the idle and crank sensor learning during PDI. Hope that fixes it.

No difference. Cleaned the MAF as well and it seemed ok for a couple days but it's right back to hesitation at constant speeds. Didn't go to Honda yet. Going to have to take it in for sure now. I'm thinking fuel system issue, maybe injectors or some kind of interruption in the coils. No check engine light.

Hopefully it's not a vacuum leak but that would probably be the easiest fix if so.

Car is at the dealer so we'll see what they say. I'm hoping just a TPS issue but there are so many damn things that could cause it.

Dealer calls and tells me you have aftermarket parts so that's going to void your warranty and we'll have to charge you for diag. I was like I have an intake and turbo blanket, I don't know where you are getting a warranty void from but I'll take my car back and take it somewhere else.

So it wasn’t the torque converter on my car it turned out to be the crank sensor the car is back to normal

Yeah that’s total BS. Take it somewhere else.

Took it to the dealer I usually deal with and they said it's just the fuel cut due to how light the throttle is held at that speed. Got my new KTuner V2 coming today so I can check out the logs and see what's going on with the TPS for sure.

Held at what speed? I thought you said it happens rather randomly including on acceleration? Maybe I misunderstood.

Something else that can sometimes happen while on cruise control, is the car’s front sensors can get confused between approaching an object straight ahead vs approaching say a guard rail on an upcoming curve. The car doesn’t know there’s a curve and just sees there’s an object in the sensor’s line of sight ahead (until the car starts driving the curve of the road).

But you said the problem happens with just daily driving too, not just when cruise is on. That’s the weird thing.

It's when held at a constant speed. Like I said, I'll see what the datalog says once I plug in my KTuner.

Well it's still doing it after the shop foreman at the Honda dealer said he thinks it's the fuel cut. Some of the symptoms I've had negate that fact so I'll have to have them check again when I take it back for a couple of other issues.

About to change the MAF as I think someone might have swapped mine at the car show when I had the hood open as I found the MAF sitting in the housing with no screws and the part numbers worn partially off. I also want to change the TPS as that is another issue that could cause what I'm feeling. The shop foreman at the Acura store I work with, has said the same thing I did, never noticed any hesitation/jerking with his Integra and I didn't notice this issue on my 2017 Sport hatch.

Wait what the fck? They may have fucked your MAF or even dropped something in there.

Which intake do you have? That's probably your problem. Is the MAF seated and oriented correctly?

Here's what you do. Buy and install new MAF. Check all fittings and connections. If that doesn't work then do the following.

Return your car to stock and install the new MAF. Take your time, check every connection as you go. Drive it a bit and see how it does. Don't go adding more parts as it won't resolve anything.
