Did you do the reset procedure with the actuator off before you reinstalled with the new spring? Glad your original spring isn't rattling anymore but I had no issues with my install and valve is operating as it should.
So I didn't do a reset or calibration the first time when I installed the Hyundai spring and that may have been partly why I was having issues. I did install it with the valve closed and from what It looked like with the actuator in the right position though but couldn't get the valve to open when cycling the ignition or when driving.

When I put the original spring back in I did a few ignition on/off cycles to get the actuator in the right position and then installed the spring on to the valve directly before gently putting the actuator back on top to line everything up. After that it was functioning correctly again.

Curious what your procedure for install and calibration was so I can try that out and maybe put the Hyundai spring back in. One thing I noticed was that the new spring had a lot more resistance and I had to bolt down the actuator a lot tighter so wasn't sure if that tension was keeping the valve from moving correctly.

My procedure was to make sure valve was in the closed position at the start, remove old spring, install new spring, do the reset procedure, then reinstall actuator. I also noticed the increased spring tension when reinstalling but that didnt cause any issues for me.

Is the reset procedure just cycling on/off the ignition (no engine start)? When I put in the Hyundai spring I didn't do that and just started up the car so that may be where I went wrong. When I swapped back to the original spring I did cycle the car on/off first before starting which probably is the right way to do it.

That's correct! Ignition On/Off (no engine start) with the actuator removed. It will cycle and spin to it's home position within a few seconds then reinstall.

Quick update, couple of weeks in and still rattle free after messing around with the actuator and spring. Maybe reseating the spring and tightening everything down helped since I'm still on the original spring. I have the hyundai one as a backup so if the rattle comes back I'll try the new spring but so far so good.

I'm questioning if pulling the fuse then putting it back in multiple times might have to do something with it. My Hyundai spring is also rattle free for couple weeks. Been driving recently with fuse pulled valve open though.
