Sounds good! Also don’t forget to get a 2.5” clamp.
are you stock or with mods? Just changed out the coupler and still getting a faint whistle with no flutter. I’m running a recirculating kit as well.

I’m in north Florida. Another fellow FL5 has one installed. Has more mods than I do and has had it on longer with a recirculating kit. Still only getting the whistle. We are both trying to figure it out and scratching our heads lol.

Send me a DM with pictures of the install. To see if I can help. I’m in Central FL.

interesting, I have not gotten a check engine light venting to atmosphere and have driven it over 100miles like that.
I just bought a secondhand HKS BOV kit and wanted to see if your still running yours VTA issue free. And to clarify, in order to get this kit to mount securely I would just need to purchase a 2.75 - 2.5 hose coupler correct?

Originally, i was intending to run the kit VTA but after reading the 10th gen forums i currently am going towards the HKS recirc add-on. But with your testimony it seems like my OG plan could still work? Personally I would like to make decisions based on the fundamental understanding of each component and their interactions but I'm way to lazy to learn about MAF, MAP, Tuning, etc. Rambling aside, I just wanna know is it safe to run without a recirc tube... thanks!

Hey still running VTA without any issues! And yes correct you would need the coupler size that you stated.

This car is designed to run recirculation. So there are some downsides and the only upside is the sound. I always recommend to run the factory stuff for my customers.

This avenue should only be pursued if you want the nostalgia.

Thanks for the update!

Before I make a decision, do you mind enlightening me on what the downsides are? Appreciate your input Jester!

Well car runs rich between shifts because it is expecting the air to get recirculated. So basically the car is running inefficiently.

Seems like there is a new prototype design that I saw in TAS 25’ today. Now it’s on the passenger side for the FL5 instead of on top of the charge pipe in the FK8 version. I wonder how this would work, especially if someone were to use a recirculating kit, given that they make one for the Super SQV.
