Just wanted to share that it is 'possible' to use blendmount on our cars.
It has been issue free for 8 months and counting.

BlendMount P/N: BBV-2000R

It just involved a bit of filing on the tapered arm.
Follow homelink mirror replacement guides to remove the mirror
and file down the arm until the blendmount clamps do not slip off!

Can you post or send me some images in higher lighting please? I have a radar detector I’d like to get off my windshield. Where exactly did you file it down?

I can take more pictures but it's straight forward and self explanatory when you actually try to mount it. It will slide off because the arm tapers like a cone, so to speak. You are filing down the base of the arm to make it more or less a 'cylinder' for the clamps to bite onto.

Looking forward to some pics as well of how much of a notch you carved. Been fighting with my blendmount BMG-2027 for a few days. @sashimi
