I ordered a silicone license plate frame to get rid of the dealer frame. Installed it with the rear license plate. Went as smooth as you can expect installing something as simple as a license plate. Didn't hear anything break. Looked down when I was done and found this broken piece of red plastic on the ground below the bumper.
Did this come off my car? If it did I cannot figure out where it came from. I can't see anything broken and even if something did break behind the plate mount, it wouldn't have been able to drop down onto the ground because it would have been contained in the surrounding trim in the trunk.
Anyone know what this is?
