2 Months later, I think I had enough lol. The drone wasn't too bad, but I just can't stand having that much noise constantly. So I took off the Hi-power. I will never find the perfect exhaust...I'm so dang picky.

I put my mugen back on for now. Hopefully I won't have issues with a motor build using the RV6 660 AS turbo...not like it's that big of a turbo, but hopefully the Mugen piping won't be an issue (same as stock piping).

Well, you’re like me—but for me, I just can’t decide if I want an exhaust or not!

I can’t stand the whole JDM business model, and here in the States, most companies just aren’t quite there in terms of quality. But man, it’s tough with these 4-bangers to find something that sounds nice without looking like a Bosozoku setup.

I also feel like companies put way more effort into the FK8 than they do for this one.

You should try Fujitsubo or spoon. Quality exhaust. Not too loud but the tone is dialed in. Especially with downpipe and/or bigger turbo setup.

I ended up with Remark Q-spec. It's been perfect for me. Deep tone and quiet almost like stock when I close the valve and loud when I open the valve. No drone also

Nice good to know. Do you have a downpipe? I can’t recall. I’ve yet to purchase a catback. IMO there are plenty better ways to mod the car for $3k+ haha but will eventually cross that road. The Q spec is the more desirable one from remark to me

I do have a RV6 catted downpipe. And I agree about mods for 3K lol, it's nuts how much exhausts are. I had the two tip remark, which was nice, but didn't like the look from the back.
The other 3 tip, I hear was super loud and it looked like it with essentially just resonators and not an actual muffler. I honestly think I finally found the exhaust for me, the Q-Spec...wish I had this from the get go, I'd have saved time and money.

Did you ever try the HKS Legamax? The way you describe the Q—Spec sounds very similar.

I had it on my FK8, so yes, very similar, but Q-Spec can go into a quieter mode when closing the valve (I have a valve controller). So Q-Spec works great for those days you don't want to hear the exhaust as much.

True! Having a valve to control is a nice plus, also the Q-Spec is 3" with front pipe too. Sounds like the Q-Spec is all around better! You pay for it though lol
