As the title reads, Hondata 93 + MRT Resonator Delete + DE5 Factory Burbles = Win.

Last week I installed the MRT front resonator delete and was not overly impressed. To my ears, it maybe increased the sound levels 5-10% and felt the modification was not worth the $200 investment.

Fast forward 1 week and decided to do the Hondata unlock with Acura factory burbles and I am IMPRESSED. The car finally sounds “proper” in my honest opinion. Not too loud and not too quiet. It now sounds like a performance car and I am content with the results.

Will take some videos later this week and post up. They will be taken on my iPhone, so don’t expect the quality to be great ;)

I've seen you on here talking about exhausts...so does that mean you're out of the market for one?

Still playing the waiting game, but honestly pretty happy for now. Will have to see what Invidia and Remark come out with in the next few months. If they both come out with 3 tip valed systems with flanges, it is going to be very interesting.

I'm the one with the DE5 at Borla right now and am still waiting for their R&D to finish.

I wasn't especially interested in an exhaust initially but it was hard to turn down a free exhaust.

I’m a big exhaust guy, so I would have been all over that! On the other hand, this is my first 4 cylinder car and I’m having a hard time with the noise these cars make lol.

Yeah with the integrated exhaust manifold in the head the sound is different.

Is that with stage 1 pops? Or no tune?

The pops and bangs can be adjusted no issues. There are tables for all the settings in comfort, sport and R+. I have consulted @FL5ghost but I don’t tune his car. Did help him with some issues he was having.

These are the ITS pops but they were customized by my tuner to be more like backfires instead of burbles.
a backfire is combustion in the intake manifold, hence the name back(wards) fire. They used to blow your air cleaner off.

Doesn't really happen with port or direct injection. It's a carb thing.

Pops and burbles are combustion happening very late in the cycle and more audible with retarded spark timing and advanced exhaust valve opening events.
