You can just flash to stockI heard that Flashpro will not pass smog test in California even with the base map.
Any workaround or solutions?
If you are in CA and flashed already, what’s your plan?
Yes, you can flash back to stock and reflash to your tune, but why would you need to smog a new car? In California if you purchased a brand new car you are not subject to a smog check every 2 years like older cars. My car was purchased new in 2023, I don't need a smog check until 2031, that's even if I keep it for that long.I heard that Flashpro will not pass smog test in California even with the base map.

Yes, no, and no. Very simple to flash back to stock or between maps. Can I flash it back to stock myself or have to pay a shop to do it?
once I passed smog do I have to pay again to get flashed?
In cali I believe everything has to be check ready and sniffer. How does California inspect for smog? Physical validation of equipment? Sniffer test?
In Texas, they plug in the OBD2 and ensure both O2 sensors and the EVAP are listed as "READY"—you can have an O2 or EVAP listed as "NOT READY" but not both. If the ECU reports OK, we can have whatever on the car. I ran a high-flow 100-cell catalytic converter in my '17 EX that would occasionally throw "NOT READY" on the 2nd O2 sensor, but it would clear up long enough for inspection. They'd never know it was tuned unless sensors were turned off.
If the car is OBD2, just everything has to be ready and no active codes. Sniffer is only require on pre-OBD2 cars.In cali I believe everything has to be check ready and sniffer.
Good to know! So many little variations from state to state. If the car is OBD2, just everything has to be ready and no active codes. Sniffer is only require on pre-OBD2 cars.
