It's because of the winter tires
I'm sure that's part of it, but I doubt that's the only thing contributing. I've had 2 different sets of snow tires on my sti and never had such a bad response. These are also performance winters so they aren't as bad as blizzaks or what have you.

At higher speeds it feels like I'm driving through a tornado car is all over the place. Lower speeds its barely noticeable and the tires perform very well in the dry.

Tires might just need some break-in time. I’m sure the tread pattern, tread depth, and soft compound are contributing A LOT to what you’re experiencing. Your STI’s AWD probably alleviated this issue to a great extent.

Based on what everyone was saying about this car I figured the ITS damper thingy would end up on my shopping list at the end of day 1 with the CTR. Got the car and couldn't believe how OK +R mode was haha. If sport mode was the softest setting I don't think I'd be complaining :dunno: $300 saved I guess

What kind of speeds are you talking about?

I'm running similar setup, 18x8 +45 except 235/40-18 Pilot Alpin 5. So slightly more positive scrub radius shift than you due to narrower tires (maybe? no don't think it works like that) I've been up to around 100 on the highway and never noticed anything shaky at all. PA5 and Vred Wintrac (I assume?) aren't too far apart performance-wise but I think it might have to do with the tire. If you're gonna see actual snow, I think you made the right choice, even if the tires never settle down.

80+ mph car feels like it's all over the road. I might need an alignment I did have an incident where I had two blow outs. When I had oem wheels and tires on I felt invincible driving down the road, now I just don't feel very confident. Like I said it's like driving on a really windy day. It never felt that way in my sti with summers, or winter set us 19s or 18s. I kinda miss that car ha.
