JQ Werks Madtrace Gen2 steering wheel in the house!!

The Madtrace Gen2 showed up the other day along with the OMP super Quadro wheel!

screwed it together and when I get back from vacation it’s going on! Love the carbon paddle shifters….but….

they may be too close to the wheel to use. We’ll see how it all looks mounted. But it’s tight.

Looks good. Glad you like that wheel. Great for the track, however I would not enjoy it on the daily. Glad you are overall happy with your setup. I went with Zestek SCX with their carbon wheel. I am very happy.

Actually, looking forward to using a daily, would like to steering wheel a little closer to me so this should do that nicely.

Regarding the paddles, you will have more clearance if you move the attachment point to the other side and secure with screws like in this PIC:

For the gen 2, is the horn still in the middle despite the digital display?

If you opt for the center digital display, it eliminates the horn. However, you can literally assign any other button to the horn you wish.

I see. What’s worthwhile to display in the center of the wheel?

Imo. Nothing right now. It only displays the speed and allows you to see which profile you are setting the buttons too. I think they plan to add more features to it in the future however.

I added the DID option simply to be able to customize/reprogram the wheel without having to separately connect to a computer. This page has more details about the DID. The wheel kit itself also comes with several pads of stickers that can be applied to the backlit buttons.
