Wow, that logo looks really amazing and has such a personal touch! Thank you for sharing. This store will probably be my next mod stop I’ll likely buy something to protect it, like the front one OE mine is all chipped but for the price of the OE probably pull up a little more and get this amazing looking piece. Did you remove the bumper? If so, I might wait until I get the intercooler to do that 😂!
Yeah the value is definitely there to have something unique. I remember fk8 badge was like $50 after tax too so definitely not cheap for what it is.

You can access and pry off the metal clips reinforcing the badge if you take off the small bracket right below the front bumper tabs. 4x 10mm bolts. You might have to pull the bumper towards you to get more room to work in. Definitely easier than removing the whole bumper still.

How much would you hate it if someone were to use your designs? They are gorgeous.
Thank you! No hate. I did give permission to them to use the design again as long as the colorway is different.

Took some stills with the new badge. 😆 Feels weird typing that since my entire professional career has been only photography and a sprinkle of graphic design. Also did more filming but that shit takes an entire afternoon to do a minute clip. 😮💨

This setup on the street is too fun. But I'm dying to get back on the track.... unfortunately SoCal is melting at the moment so definitely not worth it until summer passes.

And now some bad news. Big wheeler blown tire on the highway slapped my front lip while going 65 (slowed down to 65 😭) Shit cracked all the way underneath. Already hit up a mobile cf repair guy but we'll see if they get back to me.

Dream Automotive OEM style Hard Lagged Turbo Heat Shield + the other Dream Automotive Hard Lagged Turbo Heat Shield. Got them both from Unity Performance (referral link) I had no clue they were running $50 off $500 purchase.

Pretty sure this is overkill but I was curious to run both...pretty sure you can run both even though I haven't seen any photos. Going to wait until I get my downpipe arrives to knock these out with it.

Been hard at work. Insert comma where you see fit in that sentence to mix it up.

Took a nice long week off from fucking around with the car since it was way too hot to do anything in my garage. It even got to the point where I was looking up best portable ac setups for the garage but I stopped myself cause it's a waste of money. I'll keep sweating it out year in and out until global warming allows the lizard people to arise and murder us all.

Cars going to be in Mastermind NA booth at Wekfest LA. I haven't done a show in over 6 years so I'm looking forward to getting drunk and passing out in a lawn chair indoors. Go for the company, leave with a migraine.

Plenty of things to install in the next few weeks. I'm just waiting on one critical component to get the install solo party started. I'll update with some photos when it arrives in hand.

Finally got rolling footage of my car! Thanks to 2 of my friends I was able to sit passenger in the chase car and someone else drove my car. Being able to see your car in motion is like witnessing your first born walk. 🤡

Finally installed my oil filter relocation kit that I pieced together. (Parts list) With the help of Santos we measured out and built the 2 AN hoses. Forgot to take a photo of the oil plate installed. Now I can show off all the bling oil filters. No more Fran filters for this idiot.

Also installed the Wunderladen oil baffle plate! Was excited to get this on as the data Austin posted was great to see while on the track.

Wrapped up another video edit. I think I'm getting better? The one thing I'm for sure noticing using an Insta360 Luna Ultra is anything past ISO400 is pretty garbage footage. I have to use quite a bit of post to fix the noise and softness issue. I'll just have to shoot in well light areas or just during the day time.

But yeah the software I'm using to edit is DaVinci Resolve Studio. That's the main reason I'm so hooked to doing video right now because I'm just tinkering away every night messing around with footage.

Alright enough non car talk on a car forum...play the clip, like and subscribe! 💀

So I got a quote of 1k to fix the Cleib lip and yeah I just bought a cf repair kit on Amazon and patched it. Sanded down the top coat till the spidering went away and then just chipped off the cracked resin on the bottom part and added a patch of cf. Going to sand it then 2k clear it after. It seems dry already (4 hrs) but I'll wait till tomorrow after work.

Finally added in the Schroth 6 point harness with the snap in fittings. Bolted their snap fitting kit to the rear seat belt mounting points and the rest went to the Spoon harness bar. If you see anyone using the harness bar in a different way is asking to get chopped. 😅

Wanted it to be a semi-permanent setup so the wife could still sit in the backseat with our daughter. I tested it after and it doesn't get in the way of using the seat belt. Unfortunately I'm sure my wife will not see it in the same way. Hahaha.

3 point seat belt for daily use then 6 point to give myself a few octaves higher of screaming when I code brown on the track.

Ignore the poorly fitting floor mats I got for free as a sponsorship but I declined to shill it after on IG as they are definitely not made in Italy and came drop shipped from China. I do like how it covers everything and matches the stock red carpet so I'm keeping them in. I think if I use some 3m velcro I can pull up on the edges and have them hold in place.
