Had to create my first YouTube video so I could share how easy it actually is to remove your shift knob collar. No trim removal needed. Just an Allen wrench and a 14mm wrench.

Every video seems to over complicate this. Yours is spot on, easy, efficient and less risk for damage. Thanks for sharing!
Ikr? A lot of videos show that you have to forcefully push the collar down, which just doesn’t seem like the correct way to do this.

Nice job @Udalay and thanks for sharing.

I took off the stock shift knob using this method. Thank you! Much easier and no need to replace the zip tie

Sorry for the dumb question, but will this tactic be the same for the Si?

I cannot say for sure, but I would assume so. You can pull down the shift boot slightly and see if the same access window is there.

I personally love it, the one con I have with it being the red stitching is pretty tough/rough. I could see it being an issue for some being s but abrasive on the hand. I drive with gloves to keep my alcantara wheel as clean as possible, so I don't have an issues with it. They also have some pretty cool carbon fiber knobs that I almost went with. But I really like look of alcantara, so I opted for that.

The carbons look nice but I like the alcantara look better. Been looking for gloves mainly for that and to keep the steering wheel nice when I pick that up. They have center console piece in LHD available now too

Good deal. Thanks for the rec, think I'm going with the mugen carbon fiber piece for my center console. Lots of options when it comes to gloves, you can get something a simple as mechanics gloves and they serve the purpose nicely. Also helps with fingerprints on the touchscreen display. Oh yeah, make sure to get touchscreen compatible gloves too.

Will do thanks for the advice. I didn’t think of the touch screen gloves. I live 9 hours from king motorsports figure when I ready for aero I’ll hop in my truck and go visit the mugen Disneyland. It’s been about 13 years since I’ve last built a Honda with lots of mugen

I love the look and feel of oem knob but it gets hot or cold which is just annoying. The red stitching can be a bit unpleasant, but once you get use to it you won't notice. Other than that it feels ok to me but not as good as oem one. It's a bit lower which I like, and it looks fantastic and perfectly match the alcantara interior. Somehow I don't recall the metal knob in my EP3 had any issue with the weather.
