I’m glad you are moving forward with this. I like the painted hood with exposed vents look. I’m probably still going to take my chances (play Russian Roulette) and get one of these hoods some time in the future. Hopefully this turns into a positive outcome when it’s completed

Final update:

Matt followed good business practices and agreed to refund me $ 1,000.00 for the hood. I am satisfied with this settlement. After speaking with Matt, it was clear he was worried about his company and First Molding's reputation. Overall, this thread has expressed negativity pertaining to my experience with First Molding and ICB Motorsports. I understand his concern; therefore, I am going to ask the Moderators to consider removing this thread. I understand that I am in no way obligated to do this. However, I am human too. I understand that, as humans, things are not always perfect or correct. However, based on Matt's ability to make this right, I think that this experience should not continue to show him in a negative light.

Maybe I will get some backlash for this; however, as this entire thread demonstrates, I am willing to allow a person/business to do the right thing. I believe that has been done in this case.

Respectfully disagree on the removal of the thread. This is the reason forums are wonderful and much better than Reddit and Fb groups. People actually update their stuff and a lot of times tells the whole story.

You could put an Update on the first post so that anyone that comes here can make their own take and decisions.

Just my opinion and glad it all worked out.

To me is a win as someone who is not a fan of exposes carbon :)

Yes, that is a good idea. I will update the main thread as well.

I agree with the Cow. Don’t delete the thread. It’s because of your posting, they are willing to work/compromise with you. Otherwise, they would’ve done nothing.
For the next buyer of a FirstMolding product, when there’s another defect, it won’t be an anomaly. And when ICB treats that customer the same way as with you in the beginning, it also won’t be anomaly.

Update: Final product back from paint. Will update the thread again once it is installed. I am currently renovating my entire garage, this is interior "warm" lighting. Tell me what you guys think. The underside is paint match white as well.

Looks pretty good, is there any orange peel or cutting/polishing that needs to be done?

Shame about leaving that center section exposed

Yeah. A little polishing before ceramic coat will be done. Wanted to give the paint time to properly off gas as long as possible. However, I think it looks great currently. Thank you for the compliment.
