I doubt it is the EPA that Honda is worried about..The 1.5 litre turbo is a gernade. Honda dealer shops coast to coast have talked about the major number of 1.5 liters being replaced under warrenty..due to blown head gaskets, melted pistons, ruined bearings, poor cooling..the 1.5 is not reliable as Honda reliability goes. The 2.0 litre engine has had a few problems, but is much better than the 1.5.i'm not sure why the EPA has a problem with it. It's the same engine used in the base model, basically (in terms of MPGs). It gets great fuel efficiency. what's the problem?
