I’ll be keeping an eye out for your update. I read that someone here mentioned a panel gap, that’s a concern of mine. It might just drive me nuts! I’m hoping to pick up some tips/tricks/areas for improvement from the community before attempting my own. I’ll do my best to document my process as well, especially if I make any progress addressing the gap issue.

Ordered a trunk mat from Honda's Factory Parts store. It took two weeks, but I wasn’t in any rush. At first, I chuckled at the overly dramatic packaging but told myself "at least it arrived!" I normally throw parts off to the side, "pending install," but something just didn’t sit right, so, I decided to open it up. As I began to unravel it, I felt my inner Ken (Karen) spring to life...

decided to just call my local honda and order up. I dont want to deal with HFP, NJ.

Visor install this morning before church

Spoon filter installed after church... the test drive in R mode? Heavenly. I’ll be sticking with R for a while.......so far, the 'myth' about it being too stiff feels like regurgitated hearsay. I’ll report back after putting more miles on it in R mode.

Received a text last night saying my order was ready.... after my daughters' award ceremony, I cruised out to LA and visited the guys over at Art of Attack. Hit HF up as well to grab some ramps for oil change activities this weekend.

Tackled my first oil change today, 880 on the clock, definitely a therapeutic session. I also learned a lot about oil additives and direct injection, which was pretty cool. Going forward, I’ve decided to skip STP additives for the FL5 but will keep using them on my older cars.

Threw on the spoon reservoir socks while I was in there.

Picked up my car today and was a bit disappointed. The dealership had it for 4 days, only to ultimately tell me that everything was "normal." Throughout the cars visit, there was no communication from the service department at all....I had to call them, even when they said they'd call back - IMO, This was a sketchy visit to say the least.

anyone else experiencing the tail light issue? They handed me this when I picked up the car.

Thanks to Bill, I picked this lip up today. He's a very cool guy, with a tastefully modded R. The resonator delete sounded so good as he drove off, it's got me thinking about doing that for the time being.

Verbal update: So much for focusing on my other cars...Im loving the fl5 too much lol...The long awaited illuminated cup holders and some other bits should be arriving any day now. Grabbed some mirror covers, ebay wing stands, and a pair of oem rear strut mounts, for some future projects.

Second oil change done! My DIY magnetic drain bolt picked up some minimal shavings at 1600 miles; totally normal, so nothing to worry about. Still keep forgetting to order a proper magnetic drain plug.

Illuminating cup holders have arrived.... low key excited to tackle the rear AC for the kids. It was funny listening to them cope this week. "too high" "too low" "aim it at the window" "Agghh its hot back here"
