I don’t blame the driver. New Si prices (after ADM) are approaching used FK8 level. Cheaper to put a sticker (+5 hp) on the car and call it a day.

I'd like to think this was the reason why, but the past 25 or so years tell a different story.

Unrelated, but today I saw a honda fit with a TypeR badge and an ///M3 license plate frame 😆 things are getting a bit out of hand

That is a bad application of the Si emblem, dead give away it is not an Si.
I don't get it, the way they left the sport badge and put the Si badge on the left must mean they're NOT trying to pass it off as an Si. But if they're going for a "sport+" look or whatever (based on their mods) it would look so much better without the badge.... Unless they're planning on moving it over after getting a left exhaust tip lol

At these the F-Sport Lexus plate matches the red emblems.

This is nothing new. People have been doing it since the late 90s when we started getting performance JDM vehicles.
