Anyone else having issues with asshats in black audi s / rs cars trying to race or being belligerent? Had three in the last few days one almost rear ended someone revving on me - some old dude in a rs5.

So far this year the doosh driver awards go to audi owners. The best experience so far is surprisingly stang and mopar guys - although skepticalof me at first were super cool when I complimented their cars and returned the praise.
It's funny you mention that... yesterday I was stopped a traffic light, and black S3 went by in the opposite direction, and the dude was staring at me and revving like a mofo. This happens quite often though with all sorts of cars, everyone revving when they're close by.

I can't say he's a asshat, but couple mouths back, on busy US 101 South, a murdered out RS6 did some crazy lane cutting to the exit lanes, than immediately cut thru some openings back to the fast lane just to be on my ass for couple of exits (in 50 mph traffic :) )...than of course couple exits after that, he cut three straight lane to exit Palo Alto. Pretty aggressive driver.

95% of the jerks I’ve encountered are driving F150s with 18ā€ body lifts. The rest have been Challengers, WRX-STis, assorted Audis, and beaters without mufflers. I ignore them all, but the tailgaters piss me off!

For real, what are they trying to accomplish by tailgating other than create a dangerous situation? Shit pisses me off so much!!! So, what I end up doing is just driving slow, causing them to get impatient really quick and go around me. Dummies!😔

Definitely an asshat.

Here is a good one!

I pull up to a light on way to pick up my daughter from school and an acura mdx in next lane over slows down as he pulls to the light and hangs back looking at the R and when he eventually gets to the light his lady looks back at my car and laughing at him because this guy needed an eyeful. Then down the road a new Corvette passes and the mdx changes lanes and waits for me to pass and ducks in behind me (not the vet) to get another eyeful meanwhile the vet got no attention at all lol. Funny observation but this car is super special. 2nd at PCOTY but maybe more special overall.

Up until now, I only saw three FL5 on the road. At least there isn't enough to see a random one every two months easily at least 15 minutes away from me.

The dinner before I began my way home from my recent road trip, I decided to get some clam chowder. But there was a line of people into the restaurant. Found an awesome spot to park at the beach just down the street and took a moment to appreciate the car just to wait for the line to die down.

As I was going to walk to the restaurant, a young person on a bicycle stopped behind my car and looked like he wanted to take a picture. Sure enough, he stood there for a while as I did too. So I approached him and we talked for long enough that the line to the restaurant was no more when we split up.

I've had all positive experiences thus far. A middle aged man in an E46 M3 made an effort to catch up to me in traffic and gave me a thumbs up. When stopped at a traffic light a guy in an SUV very slowly pulled alongside me. He was clearly looking at the badging on the trunk and the wheels. When he got even with me he gave a head nod and thumbs up. I'm happy to report I've experienced no foolishness yet, but I expect it at some point.

Does anyone else have a gap on one side of the hatch? The right side has a noticeable gap while the left side closes perfectly. I don't mind as long as I don't get any leaks.

Also, both rear door panels are lifting a bit on one side. Front doors are good though.

I’m not sure what you’re talking about. Pics?

First pic is left side of the hatch. Second one is the one with the slight gap. Also the door panels. Just nitpicking but still things I noticed.

When I first got my Type R, I went to pick up my daughter at school. She gets in the car and says ā€œMr. So and So said your car is coolā€. Glad to see that her teachers have good taste!

I have also had a few people pull up next to me taking pictures, or film. Several thumbs up. In 3 months and almost 5K miles I have only seen one other CTR in the wild. The response from people who are into cars has been overwhelmingly positive.

All that stuff looks very minor and shouldn’t be difficult to fix/adjust I don’t think. I haven’t noticed this on my car, but maybe I need to really scrutinize it more. Then again…probably best I don’t.
