With the recent announcement that the SEB put the 22 Si into GS, I figured its time to start a thread. I'm hoping to hit a few national events in mine. I'm just going to be using a set of 245/40/18 RE71Rs I ran for 3 events on my GTI last year. I'm interested to see how we do given the bad gearing and supposed lower performance numbers compared to last gen.

Iā€™m excited to run mine! Had a focus ST for the last 2 years, looking forward to see how it compares!

First autocross went well. The Si is significantly more playful than my GTI was so itā€™s taking me some time to get used too at speed. Still was able to bring home the class win and 15th in PAX. Video for those that want to watch some mediocre driving ?

Took my Si out to the west coast of FL (I live on the east coast, so it was a 2 hour drive each way) for the car's first autocross. Unfortunately I was running the stock all season tires which put me at a disadvantage, but I was really just interested in how the car handled in a general sense. I got the slowest time of the day (not going to put that in an acronym like fastest time of the day!) ;) but was overall pleased with how it did. It was in the mid 70s, so a picture perfect day.
I can't get my TrackAddict video to upload with all the data, but it showed 49 mph was my top speed and pulled 1.07 g's.
At one point the car became unsettled (pushing those tires to it's limits) but I backed off on the gas, and I didn't lose control (not this video, will have to upload that one later to my channel).
Interested to see how it would have done with some high performance summer tires, but alas, I have an '03 Si with 200tw on it and a CRX with new shoes, so I just can't spend the money right now.
Enjoy!! (Apologies for the mount view; have a large Z Fold 3 that's hard to video with).

Another fun autocross in the books. Swept class again and snagged top 5 in Pax out of 87 so not a bad day for me.

^ damn you really killed it, so close to the Type R too, great driving. Nice to see the Si do so well.

2nd event with the car and first with RT660ā€™s, feels so much better now! Dialed in tire pressure a bit and got the back end to come around more, but probably could use a stiffer rear bar. Overall though still probably just as fun as my ST was!

That lean is crazy šŸ˜‚ what pressures have you figured out working the best? Iā€™m finally getting to take it the first autocross since May. Was supposed to do one in the middle of June, but the car was at Honda getting a new Turbo under warranty so I brought my Miata out of retirement

Iā€™ve been playing with it a little bit but not going crazy, Iā€™m about 32 psi front and 35-36 psi rear, seems to help make it oversteer a little more. Im running 235/45-17 RT660ā€™s on some cheap old TL wheels I found on Facebook lol

I have some 245/40/18 RE71Rs on the OE Si wheels. I only got to run 3 events on them back in 2021 with my GTI.

That lean does look worse than on the 10th gen. I wonder if the new dampers and springs are softer?
You canā€™t see it in the picture but that turn was heading down hill and I think itā€™s making it seem worse. The car in general feels stiffer then the 10th gen Siā€™s Iā€™ve driven.

I'm sure it is stiffer in general. I had read that the dampers were in between the two settings of the 10th gen's adjustable dampers.

It'll be intersting to see a head to head GS battle between the 10th and 11th. You seem to be doing quite well. Are you going to Nats?

I like the new Si but not enough to upgrade especially in this insane market. The interior is nicer but the styling is blander, especially the front, and there isn't a coupe.
