I'm seeking specific info on the components that comprise the Stage 1 and Stage 2 Acuity (or PRL or other) shifter upgrades. I'm primarily interested in the upgraded spring for reduced wobble; what do I get out of the different pieces? Are the shifter link bushings really worth pulling out, including the intake, battery, some of the charge pipe, and various harnesses? Are the shifter base bushings needed? What are the other pieces, and how do they affect the shifting experience?

I don't want the short shifter mod or to adjust the vertical height of the shifter.

I want a more solid shift. Reduced horizontal shifting might be nice, and an easier shift into 2nd and 3rd.

Which parts will give me the most bang for my buck and the least effort? So far, I think the spring and rocker arm is more than Stage 1, so I might as well toss in the base bushings. Is stage 2 just adding the vertical spacers and short shifter mod?

Is there any difference between Acuity vs. PRL bushings?

In the same boat, PRL cable bushings are $50.99, Acuity are $70 and Hybrid are $76.

After researching, PRL and Hybrid appear to be 6061 anodized aluminum inserts and Delrin sleeves.

While Acuity uses 6062 anodized aluminum and Acetal.

So I’m probably going to save the $20 and get PRL to go with the detent springs.

I have had the Acuity cable bushings installed for a few months now. I couldn't feel any difference from them. I wouldn't bother with them on a new car. I could see them helping a lot once these cars age and the stock bushings wear out, but when new I don't think they are worth the effort to install them.

they were more noticeable on the FK8 as those parts were originally created for. The FL5 seem to have OEM design changes/upgrades which probably make these upgrades less effective.

I did the acuity shifter mount bushings, short shifter adaptor, reduced gate spacing rocker, and spring. Honestly I played with the stock side To side movement while in gear and that stayed the same due to the shifter cable design. No change there but I didn't do the front cable bushings. And I don't see how they would fix the issue if installed since it's movement at the shifter. But the shifter improvements are good. I'd at least recommend the spring as necessary. The short throw adaptor works good but it also raises the shifter which I didn't like. They should have their full shifter out 1st quarter 2025 so it shouldn't be long. I'd wait to see how it is before ordering. I just couldn't wait. I am 90% happy with it though. I have a plan to make it 100% to my liking.
