At about 6:34 in this video, "Sound Control" is mentioned as one of the variable settings in Individual Mode. I don't see this in the Owner's Manual I downloaded. I hope this feature allows piped in "engine" sound to be minimized/turned off.

This seems to be the new thing on lower end performance vehicles these days. I read that the BRZ/FR-S/GT86 all had this piped in engine noise as well and you had to mod the pipe to stop it. Why any manufacturer these days would think people want more noise in the cabin makes no sense to me.

BMW has been doing this for over 10 years:

"BMW's Active Sound Design tech replicates engine noise inside the M5's cabin using the car stereo's speakers. ... The system is tied so closely with the ECU that BMW has matched it with the various power-train settings. So, the Sport or Sport+ modes also have simulated audible boost to match their performance boosts. Sep. 23, 2011"

HondaproJason posted Si videos on IG today and looked at Individual Mode. Nothing on Sound Control on the menu.
