Has anyone ever installed one of these kill switches to their starter button behind the dash? I’m looking to put one in and can’t seem to find the wiring to find out which one to splice.

Isn't there a guy on Instagram installing this for like $500 a pop?

JDI Ghost Lock is what I installed. It's a tracker and fuel pump killswitch that works through an app. Install was straight forward and easy just a bit involved since you need to remove the rear seats to get at the fuel pump connector.

Here's the link to it, they have a couple of videos on YouTube for install. It's the same between cars mostly.

Ghost Lock is meant to be a remote kill switch - not a permanent one while the car is off and parked.

"The remote fuel pump kill is intended to be remotely activated once the vehicle is stopped if the vehicle is no longer in the owner’s possession. The remote kill feature is not intended to be used as a kill switch while the vehicle is in storage as the tracker and relays will stay on and drain power from the vehicle’s battery. While the Ghost Lock does not require much power, over a longer period of time it could drain the battery. "

If you want a push-button kill switch, they offer Ghost Key - Push to Start Conversion Kit - Universal and Ghost Power - Universal, but requires splicing of multiple wires.

The most I've had it activated for is ~3 days and that's with a front and rear dashcam hooked up as well. This is my daily and I rarely go more than 3 days without driving it.

I remember reading that someone used it for 3 weeks with no issues. Eventually it will drain but it's not really meant for that like you stated. But I think for most people it will work just fine.

Is there a reference or video guide for people that have no idea what they are doing?

Thats honestly the only reason why I haven't bought it yet

Wouldn't you want a remote kill switch then a permanent one since you just shutoff the car whenever you detect its movement?
